Good question, I hope it’s to his Country.

IMHO, being a veteran I don’t know how you don’t support John McCain, that’s just me.

I’m not the biggest fan of CP. But. Until the words come out of his mouth, I’m going to take him at his word. The rest is speculation...

You are wrong. Powell is not a race based politician. He is an honorable though sometimes wrong man. We have elected many of these I’m sure.

This morning on DNCTV(msnbc) they were just gushing like kids on Christmas Eve, talking about how Colin Powell will be on Meet The Press, and could endorse Hussein.

I expect Powell WILL endorse Hussein, because Powell is black. This is a safe assumption, given how blacks are voting this year. The endorsement won’t matter anyway. It will just give the Hussein loving media another reason to make noise for Hussein for a news cycle.

Really, I don’t know why Hussein would want Powell’s endorsement. I recall Powell going to the UN before the war, and telling everyone of WMDs in Iraq.

Of course Powell is a media darling, and has gotten a pass for all of that. His endorsement of Hussein will be front page news, and heralded as all the reason anyone will need to vote for Hussein.

After all of that happens, I will have one question. Why would Colin Powell endorse someone for president that has NO experience or accomplishment at all to be president?

If he does endorse the Obanation Man it will be for only one reason. How he could endorse someone who has terrorist pals would be insane, however.
He made an error in resisting going after Saddam during the first Gulf War..I will never forget those generals sitting in that tent with Saddam’s boys and getting taken!

If he does the MSM will find out he doesn’t even have a license to be a General or Secretary Of State.

No he is not. There is not one bit of factual or reasoned evidence to suggest this. All the evidence suggests he will support his friend John McCain. Obama does not need Colin Powell right now. McCain does. Powell is not a self serving politician no matter how much one dislikes him for other reasons. He just offered himself up as a character witness for Alaska Senator Ted Stevens. He also has contributed recently to both McCain’s campaign and the Republican Leadership council. All the evidence and his personal character points to an endorsement of McCain. The press, the liberal media, and racist individuals on the left and right, are the only ones continuing to float the stupid idea that he will endorse Obama.

Well, he testified as a character witness for Ted Stevens this week. I’m not sure he throws McCain under the bus. It would be amusing if he endorsed McCain. I guess Obama would have to send out his minions to trash Powell.

I think Powell plays it safe, and says something like ‘they’re both fine men and America would be safe with either’.

I hope you’re right. I’m going to projectile vomit if he endorses Obama.

Might I suggest you eat lightly? I wouldn't put a dime on this either way. Powell has flirted with the dark side before....

Is Powell about to get off the fence?
(Powell to Endorse McCain on Meet the Press)

If Powell does endorse McCain on national (heck, international
these days) TV, I hope he explains why Obama, although he’s made
a historic bid for The White House...he’s just not the right man
for the job.
And that color has NOTHING to do with that. Obama is just not the
right human being for the job.

Why are Republican sounrces then saying he’s going to endorse Obama? If he does...it won’t be good...at all...that’s all we’ll read about for a week before the elections. Why would someone do that to a friend of his? What has Obama promised him?

I will take him at his word until he takes some action to show me otherwise.

He served in Vietnam and caught a punji stick. I may have had some disagreements politically with him but have found no reason to doubt his honor or concern for the country.

He has been a Republican for a long time and taken hits for it.

A lot of people are believing bad things about him just because the media says so. When he speaks, fine....but to jump on him because the media says so is not right.
