the place to unveil a high profile endorsement would typically be at a rally with the person being endorsed.

....unless you're a Republican. There is NO media coverage of a Republican event....one of the BDS rules still in place. 'Tswhy you'll never hear a complete Palin speech. ...but don't worry, ABCNBCCBSCNN will tell you how bad Gov. Palin did. Even Peggy Noonan's been paid off by her MSM pension plan to 'disendorse' Gov. Palin (if she wants to see her WSJ pension).

You don’t get the point, I found that old thread, then RIGHT after that, I found the new thread. It was a coincidence, I find that interesting. I know one thing I wasn’t looking for either, I just was suffering from a cold.

I wouldnt trust him.

At every turn, regardless of what Israel has done to defend itself against intensifying Palestinian terrorism, Secretary of State Colin Powell, or one of his underlings, has been quick to launch a verbal broadside against the Jewish state.

http://christianactionforisrael.org/isreport/aug01/7questions.html

Et tu, Colin?

Caesar was stabbed, in the end, by one of his closest and most loyal friends, Brutus. And George Bush was betrayed throughout the course of the entire Fitzgerald inquisition by his one time friend and close confidant, Colin Powell, who knew all along the involvement of Richard Armitage, and chose to keep quiet. Loyalty runs between many extremes.

...snip...

With Colin Powell, as with Mr. Armitage, loyalty has finally gone the way of the Model-T. And sadly, Mr. Powell's damage will be enshrined forever by the left in what appears to be their longest running hit piece of modern times. Et tu, Colin?

The first question that must be asked if that is the case is why is he endorsing Obama if he donated the maximum amount to McCain?

Because this wouldnt be the first time he's stabbed his friends in the back.

Gen. Colin Powell on MSNBC back in sept

“When one of the moderators asked Powell whether this vote was personal to him since he was the first African-American Secretary of State, his answer sparked wild applause. “I’m an American first and foremost,” he said.”

Colin supported him before that. Fox news, Peggy (I never liked her anyway) and all the other so called conservatives, geez, what gives? White Guilt?

Naw, these "elites" just want to attend the Washington cocktail parties.

“We will see on Sunday. i just don’t get that he waits until two weeks before the election. Obama is ahead, why do this now, if he is for Obama?’

Maybe that explains the reports that Obama is planning his victory party.

“how important it was to continue identification as “African Americans” into the coming generations”

Which is why so many “African Americans” marry white women? Blacks routinely mate with whites and Hispanics (who are also white, BTW). Black will cease to exist outside of Africa.

“Osam Obama HUSSEIN is Black?”

He is half white and would get his butt kicked in a black neighborhood.

“Who cares what he thinks?”

I suspect there are a number of thinking black voters that would like to vote Obammmy but are smart enough to fear his socialist agenda. They would accept the backing of Powell as the impetus to go McC. Not all blacks are mind numbed robots, altho all to many are.

i was polled by Rasmussen last night, and the recording asked several questions regarding Colin Powell... asked my favorable rating of him... asked if his endorsement of either candidate would influence my vote... and more...

Exuse me..I’m sorry, I still don’t get it. Why would the Obama camp leak they are getting an important endorsement, get all the publicity for it and then be embarrassed. Maybe I’m naive, but I don’t undestand the “upside” of that.

You make a very good point. If he endorses McCain, it will be interesting to see the MSM go after him. While I appreciate many of the comments on this thread about General Powell — many mainstream Americans have a pretty high regard for him. Many African Americans see him as a role model.

This could get very interesting.

Who cares what he thinks?

The people around here and around the country looking for someone with name recognition to tell them what to think and do. Don't ever underestimate the inability of people to think and do for themselves.

...and General Powell understands that a weak president is nuked much easier than a strong president. He would feel extremely guilty, should a weak president he endorsed allow the nuking of a city....where a disproportionately large percentage of blacks would suffer. That and the likely scenario last year of McCain seeking General Powell’s advice on the successful implementation of ‘the surge’...against all comers. McCain owes General Powell, and General Powell owes McCain. My best guess is an endorsement of McCain, for obvious reasons.

Yea, right.

I'd like a link to confirmation of Powell donating to McCain's campaign

Thanks
