Bruce Springsteen used his latest fundraising bash for Democrat Barack Obama to poke fun at one of the presidential candidate's Republican rivals, Sarah Palin.
Springsteen dueted with fellow rocker Billy Joel for the first time ever at the bash, at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday. And the Born to Run hit-maker jokingly compared the pair's inexperience to criticism of Alaska Governor and vice presidential candidate Palin.
He told the crowd, "Billy and I have rehearsed a little, but you have to consider this more like the vice presidential debate: you have to Palin-ise your expectations. We seem like we know a lot, but we don't really."
Springsteen and Joel were joined at the fundraiser by india.arie and John Legend.
I doubt she gives a flying squirrel.
Just remember this: Bruce Springsteen and all these other drama queens have been able to go on about their business despite 8 years of GWB, who was supposed to usher in the ruination of all things artistic. So, the hysterics on display from Bruce & co. only prove that they're even dumber than we originally thought.
Bruce was a punk a** who barely graduated HS in Freehold. I think he went to a few CC course. And all of his "blue collar" crap is pure facade.
I had friends from Freehold and Asbury Park who knew him as the same little sh** he is today. One of them, now retired Special Forces, played and sang better than the boss.
Got two words for Bruce - “Dixie Chicks”

Pete Seeger was an avowed Communist and a flunkie for Joseph Stalin for 40 years (that’s how long it took him to admit that Stalin had done some bad things).
Some years ago I read an article in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel where some people who worked at a popular Milwaukee entertainment venue (don’t know the name) were interviewed. These people were asked by the paper to talk about some of the very popular, nationally known entertainers who they shlepped for. I can’t remember who they said was the nicest, but they all agreed Springsteen was the biggest jerk.
I guess he hasn’t changed much then.
Bruuuce, you’re just another cranky liberal who hangs with the elitists of NY/NJ. Time to grow up and leave the 60’s. You’ve made millions of dollars off of Americans so I’m hoping O’s tax cuts hits you hard and then we’ll be “meeting you out in the street” , oh oh oh.

The Boss has become the Freehold Fraud. We passed up an offer to buy tickets to his concert this past summer. Reason: didn’t want to spend a lot of hard-earned money listening to political views interspersed with entertainment. Good decision apparently.
I, too, liked his early stuff and had a great time at his concerts.
So much for being a symbol of the workin’ man.
