On Thursday's ABC World News, anchor Charles Gibson's lead-off story was on the presidential campaign:
"Two weeks, five days to go, home stretch. Barack Obama and John McCain began today laying out their closing strategies. And while Obama continues to hold a double-digit lead in most national polls, it is the results in individual states that are all important."
The emphasis on Obama's supposedly huge, possibly insurmountable lead is used by some in the mainstream media to suggest the inevitability of a Democratic win. But you have to wonder, at least in this instance, what polls ABC News is examining. Obama enjoys a lead in most opinion surveys, but it's not as large as Gibson claimed.
Thursday's Gallup Daily poll showed a 49% to 43% Obama lead over McCain.
Rasmussen had it at 50% to 46%.
At Zogby, it was 49% to 43%.
The IBD /TIPP tracking poll showed the race at 45% to 42%
The RealClearPolitics poll average, which incorporates findings of 13 national polls, showed a 49.5 to 42.7 Obama lead.
Prospects for the McCain-Palin are not quite as bleak as some in the mainstream media would like. But that doesn't mean they'll stop trying.

My city has a tendency to shut down major highways for “construction” during runoff elections. Never know WHAT they will do to stifle the vote and increase congestion (I mean a one hour traffic jam on a SATURDAY MORNING?).

This plot has been in the works for a long, long time. The 'machinery' is in place. We are about to witness election fraud in unbelievable fashion.
The polls are skewed to keep the wool pulled over the world's eyes if/when they declare Hussein the winner. A true poll would most likely show Palin, uh sorry, McCain/Palin ahead at around 65%.
This ain't gonna be pretty no matter which way it goes. I pray for Truth on election day.
Everyday at work I have to listen to my co-workers nonstop garbage about how eeeevil John McCain is and how Obama is going to save this country. The outright hatred I have heard them express towards McCain is astonishing. Anyway, all week they have been going on and on about how Obama is now about 14 points up in the polls. My entire office is like this. Of course, I do work in the People’s Republic of Northern Virginia so I can’t say that it’s that surprising, but the display of ignorance amongst these people is stunning.
It's easy. You take 5 polls with a 2 point lead, add them together and you get a 10 point lead.

Great list and I thank you for it. Those are 22 FACTS. McCain/Palin are up by REAL numbers that cannot be overtaken. Here's the problem:
You don't 'play' ACORN's cards. This is a massive and orchestrated voter fraud plan that has been put in place by folks with unlimited amounts of money. At the same time, the people's treasure has just been robbed of $700B.
There is no such thing as coincidence and ACORN is only the tip of the iceburg, otherwise we would not be hearing about it and they CERTAINLY would not have gone on national TV admitting their wrongdoings.
The Lord gave Lucifer charge of worldly things and now is the time. he is feeling his oats. Lock and load. This is going to be a rough ride.

Texas Aggies met the LSU Tigers at the Sabine River for a fight. The Tigers were overwhelmed because the Aggies were throwing grenades across the river at them, but the Tigers checked 'em out, picked 'em up, pulled the pins and threw 'em back!!!

Actually, I think you are trying to be a smart ass. The name of the corporation is American Broadcasting Company, but it stands for Anything But Cogent.
Many have hit upon something with pointing out how these polls will discourage many from showing up to vote for Obama. I promise you, if a majority of black folks feel that Obama has it in the bag, they won’t show up. Bank on it.
