Campaign Robocalls Anger Some Iowa Voters

Some central Iowa voters said a voicemail message on behalf of Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign has gone too far.
The automated messages, also known as robocalls, have been ringing phones in Iowa homes since the last presidential debate. The message talks about a relationship between Sen. Barack Obama and '60s radical Bill Ayers....
"It was vicious," said independent voter Marilyn Greene. "It was a hateful, vicious message."
She said there's too much on the line in this election for candidates to stoop to this level.
"Stick to the issues," she said. "What can you do? What are you looking toward?"
"That's clearly a misrepresentation and it's brazen and outrageous," said Tina Fisher, who also got one of the phone calls. "This, to me, suggests total loss of control and, quite frankly, seems a little desperate."
Fisher said she felt the calls go against the message McCain has tried to send out on the campaign trail, especially during an appearance last week.
"When that gentleman said he was scared of Barack Obama, McCain said you have nothing to fear," Fisher said.
"He's a decent, family man, a citizen," McCain said to another supporter about Obama. "I just happen to have disagreements with him on fundamental issues."
A spokesman for the Iowa Republican Party said he was unaware of the messages. The McCain campaign did not return Newschannel 8's phone calls.

I doubt this woman got a call at all. The GOP didn’t know anything about it. It just makes for great newspaper fodder. Notice everything she says is a Dem talking point.

I imagine what really pissed these hayseeds off was that they were interupted from reading about all the Palin “scandals” in the Nat’l Enquirer when they had to get up to answer the phone.

"It was vicious," said independent voter Marilyn Greene. "It was a hateful, vicious message." Anyone that calls the truth "vicious" is NOT an independent.

"It was vicious," said independent voter Marilyn Greene. "It was a hateful, vicious message." BWWWWWAAAAAaaaaaah haah haah haah!!!
First of all, "independent" voter my ass.
Second of all, GROW UP Marilyn. Vigorous political debate and discourse has been a part of US politics since day ONE in our country. Actually, BEFORE day one.
If the TRUTH hurts your sensibilities SO much, then you deserve to live in a fantasy world, Socialist La-La-Land. Just go somewhere else and don't help destroy our country.

Aw, c’mon Marilyn, where’s the love?
I think the left has almost used up the mileage on the word “hate” just as “racist” has lost it’s impact.

Your eyes are getting heavy. You are now asleep.
When you wake up you will remember that robocalls are only made by Republicans. You will awaken refreshed and hating Repbulicans.
SNAP!
The FReepathon Challenge has been extended to 10/20/08 12:01am. (I wasn't able to focus and push the effort like I wanted to by the 15th. Let's go for it.)
Hey, we're almost done with this quarter's FReepathon. The goal will be reached within a few days.
We have extended the FReepathon Challenge. It's a way for you to donate and get some of your funds matched. Those who have volunteered to become a Charter Member of the FReepathon Challenge, will pay a certain amount if certain levels are reached. Read about it at the link.
If you would like your donation to be augmented for the benefit of retiring the FReepathon more quickly, join in the FReepathon Challenge by clicking on the right part of the above graphic.
We'd love to have you join as a charter member too, if you'd like.
If you wouldn't care to be a part of the FReepathon Challenge, but you'd just like to chip in to help retire the FReepathon more quickly, please click on the left part of the above graphic.
Happy trails FReepers...

I’m sure the only angered voters are those supporting Obama. What a bunch of whiners this people are. They are so worried voters may find out who Obama really is prior to Nov. 4.
