"Bless your heart" is indeed a confusing southernism--but it's not an insult as much as a statement of pity, and pity always has with it a little contempt.
Further, it is also said with perfect sincerity, wanting to bless someone who's having it tough.
It's all in the context or tone, babe.

The sad part is that it may not matter who wins next month. McCain agrees with half their ideoligy anyway. I will vote for Sarah and maybe even go out an work for them, if only to slow socialisms pace. But until a new generation is brought up with real american values, I fear this country is lost.
My plan is in the works and regardless of who wins, I'm going to be sure to keep my net federal tax burden to as close to zero as possible. There is no reason to reach for the brass ring if some moocher is only going to snatch it away at the last minute.

Do you mean, would Atlas Shrug? Atlas, who has carried the weight of the world on his shoulders for, lo, these many years will do just what the man in the article is doing. Productive people get exhausted providing the feeding tit for a bunch of career system gamers (frequently politicians) and welfare parasites who raise new generations and train them by example to be welfare parasites and drug dealers. No one is opposed to caring for those who are honestly helpless, but “spreading the wealth around” has been the bad idea of the Democrat Party for many decades in order to keep blocs of downtrodden (by the Democrats, that is) people automatically voting Democrat no matter how corrupt and vile the Democrats get.

. . Oh, and I forgot to add that many times, Atlas is disrespected, hated, and treated like dirt by these same dregs of society that he is in some cases feeding, housing, clothing and providing medical care.

I was going to be offered a job at a small business, and they decided not to fill the position until after the economy settles down. My friend works at a small business and it’s closing in December because the owner decided to retire and throw in the towel. These are established businesses 15-20 years old.

As the saying goes - you put 95 people sitting in the wagon with only 5 people pulling it...and it’s not going to be very long until the 5 people either get in the wagon or else leave.

And that is just your experience in your circle. Multiply by several million.
It’s going to kill our economy if that one gets in.

I dont follow you? There's an old joke that reading Atlas Shrugged ruins your life. It's a necessary by product of reality.

The radical left doesn’t care about prosperity. Their model is Zimbabwe, all they care about is equality even if we all starve

This article is a must read. After clicking on the article link
American Thinker Article, at the bottom of the article you'll find another link that says "Comments". Click on that and read the comments that have been left for the article's author. These are some of the most heartfelt and informed comments I've read in a very long time. For those of us deeply concerned and affected by the direction our country is heading, if Joe the Plumber didn't exist, we would have created him. I believe he's become the symbol of John Galt for our desperate times.

Obama doesn't want to penalize the organized workers: state, federal, teachers, service workers. He doesn't care about self-employed workers who have no union and who are trying to grow their businesses. Often it takes years to grow a business. But government at all levels gets its percentage even if the business doesn't make a profit. And there's no end to the tax increases: our local business privilege tax went up, now the township wants a sixty dollar police and firefighter tax on top of an increased emergency rescue personnel tax. Local millage going up because of costs, yada yada.
