At the most, this tells us something about the political leanings of AOL “members”.

If you give credence to this poll; you would also be giving credence to the Internet polls that show BHO leading.

Even the best “scientific” polls often fail to do what they were designed for — i.e. tell us what the whole electorate is intending to do. They do an even worse job at predicting what the electorate will actually do.

The polite term for Internet polls is “unscientific” — a more accurate term is “completely bogus”; or “totally worthless”. We all want to believe the results to this AOL poll — but, a better tack would be to consistently deride such polls; to limit their influence over the sheeple.

This week on Wednesday when the local OK poll came out that is very accurate, it has the same margin of victory for McCain that the AOL poll had from OK voters.

I wonder what will happen if/when McCain does win?

I am trying to envision the MSM coverage and the democratic scandal screams.

I relished the outcry 4 years ago. I may have to take some time off work to enjoy it if it happens again.

I may be a little - a lot!!! - paranoid but you have to have an AOL account, give your email address AND password to vote - is this cricket? I just don’t trust AOL or any of those guys so may be TMI? Think about it...or not...

How reliable is a poll that requires you to register? It should probably be tagged as an AOL/ACORN Straw Poll.

AOL tends to trend left. I’m surprised.

That poll won't last online longer than the half life of a soap bubble.

Enjoy it while you can still see it.  LOL

The FReepathon Challenge has been extended to 10/20/08 12:01am.  (I wasn't able to focus and push the effort like I wanted to by the 15th.  Let's go for it.)

Hey, we're almost done with this quarter's FReepathon.  The goal will be reached within a few days.

We have extended the FReepathon Challenge.  It's a way for you to donate and get some of your funds matched.  Those who have volunteered to become a Charter Member of the FReepathon Challenge, will pay a certain amount if certain levels are reached.  Read about it at the link.

If you would like your donation to be augmented for the benefit of retiring the FReepathon more quickly, join in the FReepathon Challenge by clicking on the right part of the above graphic.

We'd love to have you join as a charter member too, if you'd like.

If you wouldn't care to be a part of the FReepathon Challenge, but you'd just like to chip in to help retire the FReepathon more quickly, please click on the left part of the above graphic.

  Happy trails FReepers...

Any idea how this poll came out leading up to the 2004 election?

If its an online poll, you have to realize that a large portion of Zero’s voting base is illiterate and for sure computer illiterate.

With around 14,000 votes, McCain is still UP 71-27% and has ALL 538 EV. If this poll ends up finishing anywhere near these numbers, NOBAMA will have lost HUGE support from their last poll.
