Food banks instead of campaign ads (Insight from Campbell Brown)
CNN ^ | 10/17/2008 | Campbell Brown

Posted on 10/17/2008 11:11:06 AM PDT by Red in Blue PA

In the middle of an economic crisis, with a lot of Americans worried to death about how they are going to pay their bills, our two presidential candidates are about to spend an astonishing amount of money kicking the "you know what" out of each other on national television. **************** So, Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain, how about instead of spending that $30 million a week kicking the "you know what" out of each other between now and Election Day, you pool your money and you give it to that food bank in Provo, Utah, so Joalaina Redbird's kids can get three square meals a day until her husband finds another job?

KEYWORDS:
Obama would give to the food banks but he is too busy telling Joe the Plumber how he plans to spread his money around.

Wow, and I thought my kids were expensive to feed.

The problem is that Obama has a crapload more money than McCain, and Campbell Brown knows this...

Cambell Brown could also put her money where her mouth is and pony up a few dollars....

Nice canard, CB.
Spend [opponents campaign money] on food banks so “The One” can be elected without interference.
They must really, really be scared.

A brilliant violation of Campaign Finance Laws, Campbell, but nice try.

That half billion dollars Obuma is spending to buy the Oval Orifice could buy a lot of Jello.

Maybe Michelle could donate some of that lobster, Dom Perignon, and Iranian caviar she likes to order at the Waldorf to poor Mrs. Redbird and her starving kids. I mean she and her husband are so in tune with everyone’s suffering and hardship across the country, I’ve been told.

No mention of where Mr. Redbird is eating.

If Ms. Brown ponied up the same amount of money to this food bank that she has spent on apparant face lifts, maybe they could feed Mr. Redbird too.

Campbell should just urge Barack and Michelle Obama to match the charitable donations given by McCain and Palin.

Think how many hungry mouths could be fed with the money Obama’s going to spend for just one 30 minute lecture on television to the American people.

John McCain is frugal compared to the extravagant “everything fit for a god” spending Obama has been enjoying during his historic candidacy.

Sarah Palin is still stopping by the Wal-Mart store to pick up items for her baby during her own historic candidacy.

I shudder to think how much the Obama’s would spend on themselves if they actually made it to the WH.

Neat idea Campbell. That way the polls could be frozen with a lead locked in for Obama. Bet you never thought of that did you?

It would be interesting to see how many times Campbell addressed the issue of the homeless, the unemployed, the disenfranchised under an Obama administration.

As well all know, those categories of people didn't exist under Clinton.  They only exist under Presidents(R), and we know it.

Carter cratered, and they still didn't address those issues when he was President.
