Oliver Stone has proclaimed that his new feature film "W." aims to be an "empathetic" psychological portrait of President Bush.
The president's younger brother has a different impression.
At the heart of "W.," opening nationally in theaters Friday, is a psychological portrait of George W. Bush as living perpetually in the shadow of his father, former President George H.W. Bush, and driven to invade Iraq at least in part by a desire to prove he is as tough as the elder statesman.
"The Oedipal rivalry is high-grade, unadulterated hooey," former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush told The Washington Times.

Did you know that this movie, W, was funded with Communist Chinese money? It’s not a secret, but yet somehow it’s never mentioned.
I hope this movie flops so bad it makes “Waterworld” and “Ishtar” look wonderful, LOL! :-)
Shame on Oliver Stone for pulling this crap just before the election! I thought maybe he’d turned the corner on America bashing with that great 9/11 movie he made with Nicolas Cage, but apparently he’s lost him mind again and succumbed to liberalalityism again (I just made up that word, like President Bush does! :-).
No surprise—lib Jim Verniere of the allegedly conservative Boston Herald gives “W” an A minus.
Problem is, Oliver Stone is no W.C. Fields.
I think this movie will flop.
I met Oliver Stone way back in 1992 at a Theme Park in Florida . I don’t want to give great details because I still work in that kind of work. When stars come to the studio they are given a escort and VIP treatment. Later the girl who escorted him told us about what a pig he was. She was wearing a Tour Guide uniform and he said to her “ How come I can’t see your t**ts ? He said worse then that but you get the picture.
Hey, the majority of the clowns in the movie/television/entertainment inudustry are a bunch of Commie/Socialists; so why shouldn’t the Chicoms fund it...thank you Mao-Mart shoppers for keeping our Comrades in China prosperous. LOL

Great .. a Psychological Drama produced by a PSYCHO.
Oliver..did you forget your MEDS again?
“thank you Mao-Mart shoppers for keeping our Comrades in China prosperous.”
So I’m supposed to feel bad because I shop at Wal-Mart? Sorry, but their grocery section saves me $100/month. And Wal-Mart isn’t the only store that sells Chinese sourced goods.
By the way, do you walk or drive a car that uses gas refined from Middle Eastern crude?
What a lowlife, representative of a bunch of other lowlifes in that industry.
“Mr. Weiser told Reuters news agency earlier this year that he read 17 books about the president while researching the film”
WTF? I read a minimum of 30 books in preparing my senior thesis in college, all while I had three other classes. And I wasn’t paid. It’s just due dilligence.
take your “save me $100/month” BS elsewhere...
Your “hooray for me, ‘f’ you & ‘f’ America” don't fly with this Marine....
if that's all your patriotism is worth, then it ain't worth much.
That's non-partisan, Hollywood style.
Openly smearing a sitting president in a feature film just shows how far Hollywood has decended.
Clearly, this reflects the fact that Stone is a mean and small peron, with no respect for the nation which offered him wealth and opportunity.
I hope people see this mean spiritedness for what it is.
Whatever. People in glass houses...
Why should Americans buy expensive Unionised crap on your say-so?
