Well that was a fun way to start the morning!
Steve Malzberg and Ed Schultz were guests on Fox and Friends when the topic of Joe the Plumber came up.
Steve went first, describing (correctly, I might add) that Obama's tax plan punishes success and was tantamount to Marxism, Ed responded with his own story about his sons' constuction company and spins a tale about how they'd do better under Obama's plan than McCain's.
Malzberg asks Ed whether or not they make 250K and Ed gets testy.
Extremely testy.
So testy, he gets up and walks away!
We see the cord from his microphone dangling for a few seconds and then we're treated to the extremely shocked faces of Gretchen, Steve Malzberg and Brian...who cannot believe what just happened.
The segment wraps up with everyone mock storming off set and leaving Gretchen to do the news and then the entire crew follows suit.
Except for Gretchen...who's now all by her lonesome.
The McCain campaign definitely has to shout this out. Obama can sit smug and say he won't raise your taxes if you're middle class. All he has to do is not veto any legislation rescinding those tax cuts, which will be one of the first pieces of business the Dem-controlled congress will act on. That's after getting The Fairness Doctrine back on track. Can't have those conservative talk shows not backing His Divine Eminence's socialist legislation.
Apparently Fox & FRiends has not gotten the memo that Fox employees must fawn over everything Obama.
Well the leftists have been used to doing the questioning. Great for giving it out but not taking it in turn.
Prisoners taken? Not a one when Steve Malzberg is on the offensive. Ed Schultz won’t be sitting for a few days.
You are so right. Obama wasn’t quick enough to turn on the filter before exposing himself as the COMMUNIST that he is.
"Spread the wealth."
AKA
"We are going to take things from you for the common good."
Malzberg is great.
I can’t wait to listen to Steve @ 4pm today.
Schultz objected to being 'talked over' by Malzburg, said it always happens when he's on FOX. When it continued, he left.
It is so damned irritating to watch 2, 3, or more partisans hollering over each other - if one has a valid point you'll never hear it. When there is a respectful debate it seems so pleasingly unusual, when it should be the norm.
It is a shame that it took a slimy lib to do what many, many guests should have done in the past.
has this been Youtubed yet?
The Democrats are applying some serious talking points, the UTTER AND COMPLETE BS of doing better under the maxist obama plan is the same as a used car salesman telling us this tax plan was only used by a little old lady to go to church on sunday...
He was just copying the REAL incident that happened with J T Harris on CNN. Mr. Harris was REALLY upset, whereas Eddy was acting. Even if he had been asked if he like cream in his coffee he would have walked off.
I actually listen to his less than entertaining show more than once and found it to be a sad attempt at entertainment.
Have pity on him though. It must truly be sad to know how well you will NEVER do.
I am not sure that you and I were watching the same show there...
He stormed off after being asked a question by Malzberg yes malzberg interjected during Ed’s commentary but I would not caracterized it as talking over. I just think Ed got caught in a situation that he did not want to respond to..
Ping! And waiting impatiently for someone to get it on you tube.
Oh brother.
I watched this unfold and I believe my account is an accurate one.
Look. It was entirely unprofessional for him to walk out in the middle of a set like that. Period. He left in a hissy fit like a poor little whiney baby.
What, did Steve Malzberg upset his delicate sensibilities??
The reality is, people get interrupted and talked over all the time...especially on tv and in that kind of arena regardless of the channel. Is he so thin skinned that he can’t handle a little rumble?

They used to have both Bush Tax plans in "PDF" format, I get back to that in a minute....
Yes, the Bush tax plan of 2001 will disappear. That is significant. Marginal rates go back to Clinton numbers. The only thing that will not change is 401(K) etc type plans were made permanent a year or two back. But the question is, do we lose the generous Child Credits? How about some of the other unique aspects of this plan? The Tax Free status of the found Nazi Gold to Jewish heirs (yes it was in the bill, big deal back in 2001-2002)? Or how about if you are on SSI disability and have a small job and you save via and IRA for retirement? (Yes it was in the bill, it gave folks an opportunity to try to gather some assets instead of being on the dole without hope).
Or how about the Death Tax? That going back to 2000 status is a full employment act for Lawyers....
The question is, do they rescind the 2nd Bush Tax-Plans treatment of Dividends at the same rate as Capital Gains?
That IMHO has been a big component of the Bush recovery after 9/11. Do we go back to "Go-Go Dot Coms" that had the lower Cap-Gain Rate and that insanity to not get dividends?
Big questions for the little minds of Reid, Pelosi, Frank and Dodd, not to mention the anointed one...
I don't listen anymore since the only station locally carrying AirAmerica plummeted in the ratings (ha ha ha ha).
Question, question, question!
Meltdown, meltdown, meltdown!
