Evidence Mounts: Ayers Co-Wrote Obama's Dreams
The American Thinker ^ | October 17, 2008 | Jack Cashill

Evidence continues to mount that Barack Obama had substantial help from Bill Ayers in the creation of his 1995 book, Dreams From My Father, a book that Time Magazine has called "the best-written memoir ever produced by an American politician." The evidence falls into five general categories, here summarized.

The discovery of new matching nautical metaphors from both Ayers and Obama that almost assuredly came from the same source: Ayers, a former merchant seaman. The discovery of a Bill Ayers' essay on memoir writing, whose postmodern themes and phrases are echoed throughout Dreams. A newly discovered book chapter from 1990 that shows clearly and painfully the limits of Obama's prose style the year he received a contract to write Dreams. The revelation by radical Islamicist Rashid Khalidi that Ayers made his "dining room table" available for neighborhood writers who needed help. A refined timeline that shows Ayers had the means, the motive and the time to help Obama when he needed it most.

It can’t be “proved”, because they will never confess. But you can convict on a preponderance of evidence. ANd Cashill has a mountain of it. It would be useful for others to run the two books through a program that is used to detect this type of fraud.

Why are you apologizing for your grammar? You didn't claim to have a million books under your "built", or brag about your l33t ski11z. We non-elite, unpublished folks with engineering skills instead of English skills are bound to make mistakes.

However, for Big Bad Super-Elite English Professors with all those books under their "builts", there is no excuse.

America_Right, i am sorry to say this but to me, at least, you are making yourself appear childish with these unwarranted and petty attacks. It did not strike me at all that FastCoyote was bragging about having written books, but rather was sharing his background and experience as a professional writer in order to illustrate how unlikely someone with so little writing experience could come up with such a well-crafted book on his first attempt. His post added much to this thread. Your posts to him, however....

Just between you and me (don't tell Coyote - heheh), I am VERY JEALOUS of him. I have tried all my life (since my junior year in HS) to get one of my stories/novellas published by various publishing houses and magazines, and all I get are form letter rejection notices. I was telling the truth about not liking braggarts, though. This just hit close to home, and I lashed out. To me, it seemed like bragging.

Coyte, I apologize for the above. It won't happen again. I swear I am not a troll.

I understand completely. I once had hopes of becoming a writer but was quickly disabused of that notion by actually reading what i had written (with fresh eyes, that is). I simply don’t have the skill but even people who do have a tough time breaking through, as you know only too well. Keep at it. I hope you get your big break soon : )

In two posts, you went from making me feel really, really bad/guilty to feeling good again. I don’t know how to react... :)

“Published writer my butt... enlighten me as to which classics you have written. “

The ball was in your court to tell us how many books you have published. Your silence is telling.

Hyde Park is like a small village. There's the "in" people - and most of them know each other - then there's the "masses" who don't count. If Ayers "helped" write this it's common knowledge in the village.

They’re willing to endlessly vet anyone who even asks Barack Obama a question, but not Barack Obama himself. I can pretty much understand the media’s reluctance to allow anonymity — except for the fact that the media so gleefully engages in the witness intimidation that prompts the request for anonymity in the first place. As of now, the story appears dead.

The MSM will go after anyone - private citizen or not - if they dare to stand up to their "chosen one". Something really sick is going on...

If there were rumors that Timothy McVeigh had written Sarah's biography or even "helped" write it, the MSM would be on the story like white on rice.

Why doesn't some stenographer for the DNC - what used to be called "a reporter" ask Obama or his Publisher?

Do they protect him to the point that they won't even ask?

"The problem: how to PROVE it."

Here's your guy. "Forensic linguist" English prof at Vassar, busted Joe Klein as author of Primary Colors. Unabomber too, I think. Problem is, he really screwed up the JonBenet Ramsey case.

From what I know of him, he'd LOVE the notoriety though.

Question, with a PUMA ping!

I’m just guessing here, but would it be a safe assumption that Vassar may be a PUMA stronghold? Didn’t Hillary give commencement addresses there a long time ago?

Many in the blogosphere suspect that Dreams of My Father was actually written by Bill Ayers, and this Don Foster guy could actually bust it wide open.

There was a thread on it on HillaryClinntonforum.net, but only seven replies, and as you know newbies can’t post there. Can you think of anyone with a connection to this guy?

Thanks!
OTAC

Here's a handy tip.

When you submit your next piece, add two words to the end, and it will be sure to be accepted.

"Mark Steyn".

Full Disclosure: or in leftist circles, "William Ayers".

Cheers!

“Mark Steyn”.]

He is truly in a league of his own.

And regarding my earlier posts, the point was not that I am the greatest writer, but in fact that even after having cranked out half a million words it is difficult “to get it just right”. That’s why it is doubtful that without a paper trail Obama did so on his first effort.
