The Obama Thugocracy Goes After Joe the Plumber
Townhall ^ | Lorie Byrd

Posted on 10/16/2008 9:14:35 PM PDT by Chet 99

The star of the final Presidential debate Wednesday night was not Barack Obama or John McCain. It was Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher from Ohio. Joe the Plumber came to the attention of the candidates when a video of him questioning Obama about his tax policy made news. Video of Obama’s response that when you “spread the wealth around” it’s good for everybody, spread like wildfire across the internet, to some cable news shows, and to John McCain’s attention. Since Joe was a big focus of the debate, and a big hit with Republicans, the Obama thugocracy (as tagged by Michael Barone) wasted no time targeting him.

Some liberal bloggers went after Joe the Plumber saying he didn’t even make $250,000 and that he would receive a tax cut under Barack Obama’s plan, supposedly proving “Joe the Plumber” was a Republican lie. Here is what Joe said in the exchange with Obama: “I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes about 250, 270-80 thousand dollars a year. Your new tax plan is going to tax me more isn’t it?” So much for the Republican lie. Joe told Obama that he was planning on buying a company, which he hoped would put him in that $250,000 or more income range in the future, which prompted Obama’s response about spreading the wealth around. By choosing that line of attack, those on the left proved what many of us on the right already believed – that they don’t “get” the basic concept of the American dream.

That fits. The left is attacking the working man. Stay in your place, Joe. You don’t want to be an evil businessman anyway. Stay where you are and 0bama will transfer the wealth of the businessman you work for to you. You don’t want to be him. Get you shorter hours too.

I wish Joe had looked at Obama, after Obama's "spread the wealth around", and said "Well sir, that makes you a thief." Someone should point out to Obama that the reason we're in an economic crisis is from spreading the homes around. Giving people what they don't earn is bad for everyone. I don't care that I may get a tax break under Obama. All it amounts to is a burglar stealing all your stereo equipment and returning a Barry Manilow tape.

“Remember, it was the democrats who got us into this financial mess, and they just took 700 billion of our dollars to bail out the rich. So, they just took from the poor to give to the rich. They got angry when McCain flew to Washington to stop the deal” Oh VERY well said! Right on!

Obama For Brains chortles about “do you know any plumbers who make a quarter of a million dollars?” Try paying the wages of four employees, their matching taxes, insurance, truck and equipment payments and so on brining in $250k per year. Joe was speaking of a modest plumbing business and fuzz nuts makes fun of him.

“Thugocracy” huh,

I wonder how that language helps McCain win.

Oh, it doesn’t. But who cares? Racism is fun!

Oh, please. Take your Victim Card deck somewhere else. If calling the left out on their thug tactics is racist then I’m proud as a peacock to be a racist.

The District of Corruption could use some more Plumbers. If Black Whiteguilt Oblack is so brilliant, how come he got outwitted by a Plumber?

Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops

Yes, and did anyone notice the snide looks, and snotty smiles the One made when McCain was speaking at the debate? Smug and superior was the One.

There was a time when churches and charities took care of the 'needy'. At some point the government stepped in and it's been downhill ever since.

Now, financial brokerage houses and banks are the "needy" and the government is stepping in again, and I'm supposed to believe things will soon be looking up?

We saw what the Great Society did to the black family. I get the feeling we might be getting LBJ'd again only this time it'll be all our families.

But, this is nothing new, we've been heading down this road many years yet it pains us nonetheless to have it presented to us so blatantly in the form of a presidential candidate whose message, though tailored to the middle class, is best prepared for some jungle junta aiming to overthrow a corrupt regime that's been keeping the peasant down.

As Joe pointed out, our poor have cell phones.

The problem the media has these days is that there are plenty of alternative outlets out there, primarily on the internets.

Funny, a few minutes ago I was watching FOX and they mentioned how Obama had taken a few shots at them recently over the last few days.

He's spanking FOX in public 'cause 'his' possee knows what rightwing extremests they all are over there. Again, just another tug on the curtain allowing a view to this guy's true agenda.

If Obama becomes POTUS, there will be no FREEDOM OF SPEACH.

Your neighbors will turn you in if you say anything against the Messiah!
