The star of the final Presidential debate Wednesday night was not Barack Obama or John McCain. It was Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher from Ohio. Joe the Plumber came to the attention of the candidates when a video of him questioning Obama about his tax policy made news. Video of Obama’s response that when you “spread the wealth around” it’s good for everybody, spread like wildfire across the internet, to some cable news shows, and to John McCain’s attention. Since Joe was a big focus of the debate, and a big hit with Republicans, the Obama thugocracy (as tagged by Michael Barone) wasted no time targeting him.
Some liberal bloggers went after Joe the Plumber saying he didn’t even make $250,000 and that he would receive a tax cut under Barack Obama’s plan, supposedly proving “Joe the Plumber” was a Republican lie. Here is what Joe said in the exchange with Obama: “I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes about 250, 270-80 thousand dollars a year. Your new tax plan is going to tax me more isn’t it?” So much for the Republican lie. Joe told Obama that he was planning on buying a company, which he hoped would put him in that $250,000 or more income range in the future, which prompted Obama’s response about spreading the wealth around. By choosing that line of attack, those on the left proved what many of us on the right already believed – that they don’t “get” the basic concept of the American dream.

Those of us that oppose the One if he is elected will be labled Racists and /or have the IRS knocking on our doors. And the media is going to stand by and admire it. I never want to hear the Media scream about their rights after this election because they’ve ceded that right. I think the founding fathers would agree.
If Obama repeals the Bush tax cuts Joe will pay more taxes and either way America is not about tearing down those who work hard to be successful to lift up those who do not. Spreading the money are around is stupid. The Government is not people’s parents handing out allowances and should not be. Joe the Plumber is right.
These silly communist bloggistas are so funny. They probably make about 10K a year and rely on their mommies and the government to pay for their DSL so they can post at kos, et al and otherwise goo up their keyboards.
Typical Democrat tactic: smite and attack uncomfortable realities like Joe the Plumber.
This is a serious tactical blunder in the Obama camp: America always backs the Average Joe.
I would enjoy hearing them scream.

Remember, it was the democrats who got us into this financial mess, and they just took 700 billion of our dollars to bail out the rich. So, they just took from the poor to give to the rich. They got angry when McCain flew to Washington to stop the deal
What if more Americans can relate to Joe the Plumber than Barack the Politician? I mean, other than the white liberals who think of him as their ‘best black friend’ and, of course, the Children of Obama’s Corn.
So now Joe the Plumber gets sh*t on for actually asking the messiah a challenging question. Imagine that. The problem the media has these days is that there are plenty of alternative outlets out there, primarily on the internets. Don’t think that the people don’t know what’s going on to Joe the Plumber right about now. Now we have Barack and Biden both dogging him openly. Incredibly stupid. The McCain campaign needs to hammer away at Obama on taxes and redistribution. Yeah, this guy is a tax and spender, just like every other liberal democrat who has come before him.
No wonder Obama is so “clean.”
