Joe the Plumber said Thursday he doesn't have a license and doesn't need one. Joe Wurzelbacher, better known as Joe the Plumber, the nickname Republican John McCain bestowed on him during Wednesday's presidential debate, said he works for a small plumbing company that does residential work. Because he works for someone else, he doesn't need a license, he said.

He works as a plumber.
LOL, farmer!
The lesson to be learned from all of this: Don’t talk to Obama!
On nearly all homeowners policies, if you have electrical work done and there is a loss of any kind, you can be denied for having the electrical work done by unlicensed contractors (or self performing, like i do).
Sarah/Joe 2012!
Great Interview!
“Badges, badges, we dont need no STINKIN badges..”
Closer to the southern border near Tijuana, I heard, “I don’t gotta eshow joo no estinkin badges”
“You are incorrect.”
No I am not, what is the license called that a plumber needs to work in California?
Basically his boss needs to post a $5,000 bond as a first requirement.
I expect his boss will be shut down by close of business today.
C36 - Plumbing Contractor

They are issued by states, counties or municipalities, depending on where your business is or what kind of trade you practice. In CO, electricians and plumbers are licensed by the state, while heating contractors are licensed by local entities (so you basically have to have a license in every city and/or county you work in - a real pain). Usually to obtain a license you need to produce letters from licensed contractors you have worked for to prove so many years of job experience and certain type of job experience (so many years doing different aspects of the trade) as well as take a test involving lots of knowledge in your area (calculations, the science of your trade, etc.) and usually a test on the Uniform Building Code or the International Building Code, depending on your locality and what code your licensing body has adopted.
When do we start calling for “Journalism Licenses” for all the blow-dried a$$hats infecting our media?
“Just so we are clear, no, someone working as aplumber for a plumbing business does not need to carry alicense, but all plumbing business need to be licensed. “
I read that after my previous post, but I will add.
Whoopee, we knew that. But a plumber does not need a license in California, and we don’t even have one here, we only have the plumbing contractors license.
I was quoting Ouderkirk, you needed to post that to him.
Here is his back taxes story.
I think they definitely will. This could be what turns it—the Left overreaching, just like McCarthy did with going after than Army lawyer back in the early 50s.
“C36 - Plumbing Contractor”
I know that, I am a C36.
Set your Google search for updates on Joe the plumber for the next two weeks; get ready for a deluge.
Biden: John [McCain] continues to cling to the notion of this guy Joe the plumber...I don't have any Joe the plumbers in my neighborhood that make $250,000 a year.
YESTERDAY
Obama (Speaking to Joe): I respect what you do and I respect your question, and the, uh, you know, even if I don't get your vote, I'm still gonna be working hard on your behalf.
Right...
Huff Post Garbage
Well looks like the McCain campaign fell down on their vetting responsibilities again. You’d think after this Sarah Palin fiasco they’d learn a little something. Seems that “Joe the Plumber” who McCain tried to shove in Obama’s face last night is:
1) Not licensed as a plumber in the State of Ohio under his given name or any reasonable facsimile and neither is the guy he works for; and
2) Owes back tax liens which are currently unpaid.
OOPS. Way to go, McCain campaign, another example of not vetting or...in other words.....open mouth insert foot.

Turns out that Joe Wurzelbacher from the Toledo event is a close relative of Robert Wurzelbacher of Milford, Ohio. Who”s Robert Wurzelbacher? Only Charles Keating”s son-in-law and the former senior vice president of American Continental, the parent company of the infamous Lincoln Savings and Loan. The now retired elder Wurzelbacher is also a major contributor to Republican causes giving well over $10,000 in the last few years.
(Bet even Joe the Pluber didn’t know this)

If Joe is a plumber, I am an astronaut!

According to Bloomberg News — he owes almost $1500 in back state taxes! And we’re now finding out, he has no license to plumb....
Way to go Joe!!!!

Was he planted? He said Social Security is a joke, it seems he is from the Me, Me, Me, generation. I wonder if his parents refused Social Security benefits since benefits are a joke. I hope every Repb that
is against Social Security refuse benefits, that’s one way they won’t have to care about solvency.
How convenient his name is Joe, and he is against taxes and benefits programs. Where did Mc found him?

Ask Norway. They’re one of the most wealthy nations, have free health care, free college, paid maternity and paternity leave, mandated vacation, one of the cleanest environments and one of the largest producers of clean energy, and are a peaceful nation where the police officers rarely carry deadly weapons. I’d say socialism has its upsides, don’t you?
Get out of the 50’s and into the 21st century, Pam.

Plumbers aren’t known for being too smart and Joe Stinky Wurzelbacher proved that point. Plimbers-butt Joe needs to talk to an accountant so he’ll understand that there is a “big” difference between ‘gross receipts’ and ‘taxable income’. He’d have to be pulling-in $1mil.+ (gross) for the $250k limit to have any effect on him at all -— I know red state folks are full-of-it but thats really pushing it.
