Amid new allegations of voter fraud, the Ohio secretary of state conceded yesterday that the eligibility of nearly a third of newly registered voters is in question.
The latest developments raising questions about the integrity of this battleground state's voting system came 20 days before the Nov. 4 presidential election:
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner said a preliminary review showed that 200,000 of the 666,000 voters who have registered since Jan. 1 must have their eligibility verified to comply with a federal court order.
Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien confirmed that he is investigating alleged voter and registration fraud involving 13 newly registered voters who came to Columbus for a get-out-the-vote campaign and used the same address, a small East Side home.
The Ohio Republican Party requested information about newly registered voters from elections boards in all 88 counties to look into reports of fraudulent voter registration.
Elections officials across the state said they fear chaos if they must verify the validity of thousands of newly registered voters in the busy days leading up to the election.
O'Brien told The Dispatch that he is investigating allegations that 13 out-of-state residents recently registered to vote, all listing their address as 2885 Brownlee Rd.
They apparently were in Columbus working for Vote From Home, a group working to increase young-voter turnout in Ohio and using the house as their base of operation, O'Brien said.
"None of the people who registered had prior contacts with Columbus and Franklin County," O'Brien said. "You must be a resident of the state of Ohio in order to register and cast a ballot, and that's the issue being examined -- whether they were proper residents of Ohio."

I am glad she is in Ohio not Florida.
If she think the Supreme Court is going to hear her case she is mistaken.
Rather ominous number.
My fear is that the Dem congress could just discount Ohio’s electoral votes altogether if they don’t like the result, allege some kind of “fraud” and throw the presidential selection into the House, which Obama would win.
It’s a crazy scenario, I know, but I don’t put much past the Dems at this point.
“....that 200,000 of the 666,000 voters who have registered since Jan. 1 must have their eligibility verified to comply with a federal court order.”
Ha. ACORN registered 666,000? Just a co-wink-a-dink I’m sure.
Not possible.
I called the Clerk’s office at Supreme Court and told them I wanted that Acorn Registration pulled and verified...and to let Supreme Court know my opinion and gave my name and state...Free Republic pulled my thread on this with S C phone numbers:
Public 202-479-3211
Clerk off 202-479-3011
Please call before FR pulls this, thanks..we must make sure VOTER FRAUD DOES NOT HAPPEN AND ALL ACORN registration must be verified.
Liberals are whores to their belief. They will say or do anything to advance liberalism. They will forgive anything in a fellow liberal (including murder and mayhem) as long as they did it for the cause. In the face of truth, they abstain. And after, when the snake turns on them, they profess ignorance and beg for mercy from Conservatives.
I’m happy to be wrong about this, if it’s not possible.
Lots of “new” data in the report - But I note that NONE of it, NONE of the news summaries in ANY way ever, ever, ever even “imply” that the fraud registrations are ALL targetting democrat voters, democrat candidate-get-out-the-vote professionals, and democrat activists covered by democrat reporters committing democrat vote fraud..
That has been my concern for a while, that if they fail at stuffing the ballot box the Democrats will go to court to create as much confusion as possible then force it into the House for the vote. Something that has never been done.
1876 might be the only precedent.
Scary.
First of all, what was this woman doing in DC at the National Press Club when she obviously should have been back home trying to sort out what looks like the biggest voter registration fraud in history.
It’s hard for me to believe that Elections Officials in Ohio, (all good Democrats, mind you...) could be so stupid as to set up a system for “Early Voting” like they did. Did anyone learn any lessons from the problems in 2000 and 2004?? I thank God we have Great people watching over our elections here in Clark County Washington, because we don’t have foolishness like this going on.
ACORN is in this Fraud up to their eyeballs, and one of the things the next Congress needs to do is send legislation to the President (whomever he is) that would raise Voter Registration Fraud to a First Class Felony. It’s time we got serious with these groups who register nothing but Democrats, and are seriously tying up the election processes in at least 13 States. It will take weeks to get an accurate count, and we’ll be lucky as hell to know who really won by Inauguration Day.
We need a Federal Prosecutor to launch a full blown RICO Criminal Investigation into ACORN, NOW, and lock some of these people away for a few years at the very least. It might be very interesting to find out exactly what contacts ACORN has had with whom and when, along with a detailed forensic accounting of their finances for the past 10 years or so.
If Obama wins the election with circumstances like these left unresolved in several Battleground states, I’ll bet you a Buffalo Nickel that the next Attorney General of the US will be hiring a Special Counsel to look into charges of Election fraud right out of the gate.
Bet me.
When in doubt, throw them out.
They can all vote next cycle if they are eligible.
Just called the phone number for the Supreme Court and was told that the Court does not take comments or opinions.
200,000??? Even if 10% were fraudulently counted that could throw an election.
I called the Supreme Court 1-202-479-3011 Clerks office hit number 5 to talk to clerk, and told the guy who answered who I was, my state, and that I wanted all ACORN REGISTRATIONS checked for voter fraud, so my legitimate vote would count...
