Secret Service looking into Obama threat at rally

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Secret Service is looking into a second allegation that a participant at a Republican political rally shouted "kill him," referring to Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

The Scranton Times-Tribune reported that someone in the crowd shouted "kill him" after the mention of Obama's name during a rally Tuesday for GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin in Scranton, Pa.

Last week, The Washington Post reported a similar incident during a Palin rally in Clearwater, Fla. The Secret Service investigated that allegation and found no indication that "kill him" was ever said, or if it was said, that the remark was directed at Obama.

Listening to tapes of that rally, the Secret Service heard "tell him" or "tell them," but agents never heard "kill him," Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren told The Associated Press on Wednesday.

In both the Clearwater and the Scranton instances, the Service only learned of the alleged threats through media reports.

.....

So far, the Secret Service has not found anyone else who heard "kill him" Tuesday except for the Times-Tribune reporter.

Shouts of "traitor," "terrorist," "treason," "liar," and even "off with his head" have rung from the crowd at Republican rallies.

The anti-Obama taunts and jeers are noticeably louder when McCain appears with Palin, a big draw for GOP conservatives. She accused Obama last week of "palling around with terrorists" because of his past, loose association with a 1960s radical.

So AP admits the Secret Service cannot find anyone to corroborate the "kill him" shout, and then end the article making MORE unfounded claims!

They should arrest the reporter who made the claim.

Well, the article admits that the Secret Service found nothing. But, as usual, the headline says the opposite, for lazy readers who don't read all the way through. Also: Listening to tapes of that rally, the Secret Service heard "tell him" or "tell them," but agents never heard "kill him,"

If that reporter wasn't simply telling the usual liberal lies, maybe that explains it.

The original claim was made in response to the activities of Bill Ayers. The media twisted the story to help Obama.

AP will not stop their spin...loose associations?

How is launching a political career, changing political favors and sitting on two Lefty boards together, “loose”

I hope AP goes under, they are MAGGOTS.

Maybe it was the REPORTER who made the shout, only really quietly so as not to draw the attention of the Secret Service.

The Lefty media went round and round, re-parroting that “hate speech” over the last few days.

Now that it’s been shown to be false, will they spend the next 2 days telling people it wasn’t true?

Of course not, they are Liberals, who would lie, cheat or steal, as they believe in no God, so there is no real moral issue with any of the above.

Sick.

They don’t have to yell anything. All they have to do is several of them go to a rally and each corroborate a story about what they ‘heard’.

Here is another example from the New York Times last spring:

Page A1 - “Duke Lacrosse Rape Exotic Dancer at Party”

When charges prove false:

Page A18 - “Charges Dropped Against Duke Lacrosse Players”

They hammer their Lefty points and cause a fury, but bury the unwanted truth later.

I cannot stand the MSM. That is why is it dying.

And 4 individuals show up at an event wearing “Sarah Palin is a C&&&!” T-shirts and CBS,ABC,NBC,CNN and the Obama Campaign ARE OK with that.

So you’re not allowed to shout out “Kill him!” at a campaign rally? That’s a little scary. What are they going to do with you if you do that?

Threats of violence against political figures should be scrutinized. The 1st Amendment does not protect threats.

Too many people in other parts of the world have lost their freedom by the killing off of opposition voices.

I don't want Øbama dead, I want him retired!

The Secret Service ought to check out Democratic Underground if they really want to see death threats.
