Don't shoot the messenger. But maybe if McCain does not hammer Wright, Ayers, Odinga and Acorn tonight, he is still playing his cards right.
We on the right only want to see McCain go for the jugular but these 2 pollsters think McCain has to come across as the nicer and more competent candidate.

(Sorry the paragraphs did not format. Here it is again:)
Today I heard a bit of Hannity interviewing Scott Rasmussen and John Zogby. They said things I really wasn’t expecting and did not like to hear:
- There are those who will not change their vote no matter what. At present it is (if I remember correctly) 44%O and 42%M. It is the rest that the matter and who the debate is aimed at.
- Wright, Ayers, etc will get him no traction. He needs to address the economy.
- McCain lost the first 2 debates because he came across as disrespectful and grumpy. In the first he would not look at O, in the second the “that one” comment did him in.
- There will be no Bradley effect.

Polls = ratings and money. As long as they can keep making news with polls we’ll keep tuning in.
Karl Rove was on prior to these guys on Hannity and he said that Reagan was down by the same amount of points this late in the game in 1980 yet he won the election decisively. Plus, Rove mentioned one poll that was the most accurate of the 2004 election (I can’t remember the name of it), but it definitely wasn’t Rasmussen or Zogby.
Now the polls also told you this spring that Obama would be able to close out the primaries early over Clinton - did that happen? Nope - it went until June.
There’s so much arm-chair quarterbacking these days. The only poll I will believe is the one on 11/5 - the day after the general election.
VOTE BABY VOTE!!!

I think there is a chance that McCain can fluster Obama tonight with something unexpected. Wright and Ayres have had their shelf life, unfortunately. Get Obama on something no one knows about. Rove, where are you?

Hmmmm, because of the "THAT ONE" comment? Yet OZERO'S "spreading the wealth" comment he made to the plumber didn't even make a dent? WHAT planet are we on?? Something is off!

This is looking more and more like Kerry all the time. JM needs to make a good showing tonight to finish it.

The most accurate "poll" in 2004 was the one taken on election day when people actually voted and those votes were tallied. All other polls are "guess work."

There will be a Bradley Effect. And, please, don't go all wobbly when the exit polls suggest a landslide for Obama. There is the Bradley Effect in the exit polls, too. IIRC, Obama only won in the Dem caucuses. Where there was actual secret balloting in the Primaries, Clinton won handily. She also had the Dem popular vote. I suspect that Clinton was threatened with loss of DNC support if she challenged the Chosen One. She's biding her time but knows she needs the support of the DNC if she's to ever come back and run nationally again.

I heard that also, but I believe he said it was O 42/M 40.
I work with a woman who is a Hillary supporter who is for McCain. She’s so depressed about the polls that she said she was thinking of not voting. I told her is’t not over till it’s over and that I will be making sure she votes!

"- Wright, Ayers, etc will get him no traction. He needs to address the economy. - McCain lost the first 2 debates because he came across as disrespectful and grumpy. In the first he would not look at O, in the second the that one comment did him in. - There will be no Bradley effect". I generally agree on the first point. Better leave that to Sarah and maybe some Republicans not afraid to stand up to "The One". I don't get the "disrepectful". If anything Obama violated Senate rules of conduct/respect by calling McCain "John". I think there will be Bradley effect. It's a question of how big. Too many sheeple feel good about voting for a Black guy. I guess it will be 2-3%.
i had to laugh at these 2...i heard the interview...Hannity asked about the “Bradley Effect”, and with a straight face, they both said “were not seeing any of that”. WELL DUH...thats what is it is, people lying to pollsters!!!....i tell ya.

I think they should ban publishing polls. The campaigns can take their internal polls, but none for publication. I think polling may be about creating alternate realities.
I don’t know about you, but I am thoroughly sick of dozens of new polls every day and two dozens of commentators commentating on and on and on and on and on.
To: beckysueb
I think they lost their credibility when it was revealed that their polling was conducted on a random set of French voters.

Blah. This race is about people who like Obama and people who don’t. Old Man McCain is an idiot if he doesn’t get that. Those dummies in between need to be shown why Obama is bad for our country. That’s it. Neither Rasmussen nor Zogby have EVER been correct in predicting election outcomes. Ever.

Bull crap. McCain lost the first two debates because the MSM was doing the deciding as to who "won" and who "lost." When was the last time that a Republican was said to have "won" a debate by the MSM when it was a Republican pitted against a Dem? According to the MSM Reagan lost all the debates against Mondale. Sorry ... I don't buy it.

And they always pick the one that has Obama up the most and quote it ad nauseum all day.
