I don't know about you, Tony, but I watched a demolition tonight!

The Evans-Novak Report (Oct. 15) is absolutely devastating to all Republicans, including E. Dole, a likely loser now in NC. So the old Helms seat will finally return to its historic Democrat roots. There is virtually no good news in the report except for the FL House seat now in the news held by a Democrat named Mahoney.

This very disappointing commentary from Fox belies some fundamental points that McCain raised tonight. He ignited the Pro-Life, Christian base tonight with his responses on abortion and the Supreme Court. He was very clear, in spite of Fox’s commentary.

We will see the flyers in the churches the weekend before the election and McCain clearly stated he is the ProLife candidate and Obama is not only Pro-Abortion, but Pro-Partial Birth Abortion. McCain did very well.

We need to take heart, our candidate did very well and gave plenty of fodder for our media - talk radio and the internet to take this campaign over the finish line!

Looks like Rupert’s Saudi Prince made another of his infamous “phone calls” telling Rupert to tell his analysts to say McCain lost regardless of what happens.

FOX = SAUDI

The wife and I had to run out this evening but we listened to most of the second half of the debate on the radio in the car after catching the first half on TV.

Obama got flustered a number of times and lapsed back into his stump speech several times. He denied most of the allegations against him concerning Bill Ayers and tried to brush off ACORN.

John McCain was more forceful than I’ve ever seen him in any debate. He stayed on point tonight and he did a lot better than I ever expected him to. He finally confronted Obama about a lot of things that I believe his base expected him to, and I think any objective and honest observer would hand this one to McCain.

Best debate yet, and Thank God they are over...

Okay, I agree with you guys now, this about face by FoxNews is to abrupt to be coincidence considering McCain did pretty well tonight, I guess they think Obama is going to win and are afraid of the Fairness doctrine spreading, perhaps they have heard what Glenn Beck has been told that is coming for us?

Damn you John McCain. You accepted the nomination as our candidate and you ran a lame ass campaign and obviously did not bother to prepare for debates. You probably though since they made sure you got the nomination your mainstream media buddies back in the “Straight Talk Express” days when they followed you around and showed you all the affection you could handle because you were being a pain in the republican administrations neck. We all knew what was going on but obviously your ego preventing you from seeing and accepting the truth. Now the entire Republican Party has to pay for your ego trip. So I say again, Damn you John McCain for losing this election for us.

I haven’t followed the thread, but I watched the debate.

McCain won. He did an outstanding job. He was the same McCain as the guy who appeared at the RNC, after being AWOL in the last two debates.

Obama told a few slick lies, but McCain nailed him on them. The only thing he missed out on, just a little, was his failure to point out that Obama is the most extreme pro-abortionist in the Senate.

Outstanding performance. Sure, they will spin it, but I think McCain prevailed on every issue.

CNN and MSNBC and even FNC were watching a different debate.

It is all spin now to mitigate the damage to the Obama.

the MSM is in deny deny deny deny mode.

CNN is a joke.

Anderson Thooper was pushing the fictional 95% get a tax cut BS. HEY MR COOPER HOW DO YOU CUT A ZERO TAX RATE?!! obviously CNN is just sticking to the DNC marching points.

Senator Government. That’s the first slip of the tongue I can remember in a long time that turned out to be a real classic goody.

I can't tell you how tired I am of looking at that inaudible kook, Geraldine Ferraro. She reminds me of those shrunken heads made of dried apples sold to idiots and tourists.

Geraldine, you had your moment in the sun.....now stay home, cook a big pot of good spaghetti sauce, lay out your husband's pipe and slippers.....and SHUT UP till after election day.

Dick Morris making good sense - Joe the Plumber, tax increases. Acknowledges that the Luntz group can’t be disregarded but this isn’t over. Thinks McCain was fabulous tonight. Tonight was not a game changer but lays the basis for a McCain victory. Tax issue is very big!!!

McCain did his best. Obama fell down but got back up. No knockouts. I've heard some analysts say McCain won this debate with his'Joe the Plummer' example. I believe Obama made his best points on health care.

We have already committed up to $ 2.5 Trillion on bailing out the banks. Everyone pretty much agrees the greedy bankers caused the financial crisis. The biggest, most wealthy crooks get bailed out. They all get a free ride. But people are still losing their homes. Unpaid catastrophic medical bills are a primary cause of bankruptcy and foreclosure.

I'm just asking a question: 'What wrong with spending $ 20 Billion to assure all Americans will get health care _______________________ ?

In my view, McCain's tax credit idea is a non-starter. If Obama wins, you can blame universal health care. Ordinary American are livid with rage over banker bailouts and they want something in return.

I finally DVR’d through FOX’s post-debate analysis including Krauthammer’s comments. I got a different impression than expressed here. I think they flattered Obama but also gave McCain important advice. The personal attacks against Krauthammer are idiotic and shortsighted.

They say that Obama doesn’t have to do anything special, he just needs to glide through these events. I’m not sure that’s a compliment. On the other hand, McCain needs to do more to sell his ‘better’ positions. Time is McCain’s problem.

It was McCain’s best night.

I opted to go to a concert, as the ticket was a birthday present, so naturally I missed the debate. I guess I have a lot of reading to do on here.
