Summit County officials are investigating voter registration forms signed by Rip Van Winkle and a handful of other questionable applicants.

At least six people provided fake driver's license numbers, and one person tried to register twice, according to registration records. The registrations were conducted by the Barack Obama campaign in Summit County.

My point being that, permanent ink wouldn’t solve anything. The mail-in fraud must be addressed in a different manner.

The fact that they tried names like Mickey Mouse and Rip Van Winkle shows how blatant they are getting. Yes, these obviously fake names are caught, but what about John Smith, or Mary Brown? Realistic looking fake names, are they being caught?

next Mickey Mouse

Too late, they've already registered him. Muliple times in multiple states.

Now Porky Pig, Daffy Duck, and Sylvester T. Cat are still not registered, in most states anyway.

I guess it could happen. In Sleepy Hollow in the Kaatskill Mountains of New Holland, er, New York.

The registrations were conducted by the Barack Obama campaign in Summit County.

This should not be allowed. Bad enough that *anyone* other than the county people in charge of elections should be able to collect registrations, but to let a political party or a campaign organization do so makes letting the fox guard the hen house look like a Good Idea.

This is obviously someone with a little bit of smarts filling these things out.

Also likely not a youngster. It's been a long time since "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" was used in schools, and nearly as long since the Disney version was popular.

The motor voter was a scam from the beginning.

ACORN and BHO designed it that way.

All applications should only be filled out and approved at the county clerk’s office. No blank forms should be given out to be filled in elsewhere.

Rip Van Winkle is awake and running for the Tennessee State House. He is real and conservative. His website is www.VanWinkle37.com . If you can help him out with a small donation, I know he will appreciate it. The Republicans need to win three house seats to take control. Rip has a real chance at winning.
