One of the posters at the site made this statement:
If Obama was adopted by his Step father as was conjectured, he was a citizen of Indonesia, which did NOT recognize dual citizenship. This means that Obama upon return to the United States would be a NATURALIZED citizen, regardless of where he was Born. He is Constitutionally INELLIGIBLE to run for President of the United States!!!!
Can anyone tell me if this is Constitutionally correct?
Comments to that article are moderated. Norway, where the site was based, is at least 5 hours ahead of Eastern Daylignt time and the article was apparently posted in the late afternoon or evening Norway time. The editors are only now approving comments, so some of us thought the API might have been hacked with that article. Now, it appears it was not.
The time tags on the comments appear off by a few hours, maybe 12 hours.

Color me a bit skeptical at this point too...however..if Michelle did not have a past that just screams: ‘radical and racist’...we would not even be discussing the possiblility that it could be true! There is so much ‘smoke’ coming out of the Obama Campaign at this point that Axelrod is going to have to call in the national guard to put the fires out!
Why did they even print this if they didn’t know it was Mrs. Barack Obama. Hope this is not a trap.

A trap? For who? The McCain campaign has no reason to touch this story until it is proven true and shouldn’t. In the meantime...’we’ can say whatever we want to concerning the story.

Would probably require Obama's mother to repudiate her son's citizenship at a US Embassy or Counselate. No record of her doing that. But it's a gray area.
Purely from a constitutional perspective, it is not correct. We should all derive some comfort from knowing that your parents can not revoke your American citizenship on your behalf.

Parents can do that for their children until the age of Majority. Kids are more or less under the legal guardianship of their parents and therefore able to do a LOT in the name of their kids.

Article II, Section 1 makes no reference to "dual citizenship", only to "a natural-born citizen...of the United States".
If born in Hawaii, Obama qualifies. Even if he was granted Indonesian citizenship as a minor -- so long as he rejected his Indonesian citizenship upon reaching his majority...
