Some of McCain's economic proposals he outlined in Pennsylvania today:

* Suspend rules mandating that investors must begin to sell off their IRAs and 401(k)s when they reach 70 1/2 years old.

* Cut the tax rate for retirement-account withdrawals to 10%.

* Reduce the tax rate on capital gains to 7.5%.

* Reduce the reduce the federal business tax rate from 35% to 25%.

* Eliminate taxes on unemployment benefits.

As for rhetoric, this passage stands out:

This weekend, a plumber concerned that Senator Obama was going to raise his taxes asked him directly about his plan. The response was telling. Senator Obama explained to him that he was going to raise his taxes to quote "spread the wealth around." This explains how Senator Obama can promise an income tax cut for millions who aren't even paying income taxes right now. My friends, my plan isn't intended to force small businesses to cut jobs to pay higher taxes so we can "spread the wealth around." My plan is intended to create jobs and increase the wealth of all Americans.

Probably a story we'll hear at tomorrow's debate.

The Obama camp responded:

SCENE ONE:

McCain Campaign rally -— Republican comes to the microphone and says, “You have to tell people that Obama has worked with and for ACORN for YEARS, and that ACORN is responsible for causing the mortgage crisis and rampant voter fraud that may steal the election.”

McCain responds, “I’m not going there.”

SCENE TWO:

McCain Campaign rally -— Republican comes to the microphone and says, “You have to tell people that Obama’s ‘tax cut’ is really a REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH SCHEME that takes money away from earners and sends government checks to people who don’t pay ANY TAXES already.”

McCain responds, “I’m not going there.”

Continue for 2-3 more scenes and end with:

Sarah Palin: "I'm Sarah Palin and I approve this message."

or

"Political add paid by a 527 organization."

Saul Alinsky: “Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer.”

Wow! Did Oba Mao's mentor really sat that? Do you have documentation?

Not that I doubt it, because they are so enthusiastic about serving Satan, but I would like to see it documented.

these are all great posts and ideas; the question is whether McCain can maintain his train of thought and string 3 coherent sentences together in the debate.

Thus far he is 0 for 2.

Saul Alinsky and the Lessons He Taught Bill and Hillary

News/Current Events Opinion (Published) Keywords: CLINTON ALINSKY Author: Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky Courtesy the Wanderer Posted on 03/23/2000 16:22:25 PST by Slyfox

Saul Alinsky wrote two books outlining his organizational principles and strategies: Reveille for Radicals (1946) and Rules for Radicals (1971).

Rules for Radicals opens with a quote about Lucifer, written by Saul Alinsky: "Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins -- or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom -- Lucifer."

The guy in this respect does not hold back on his beliefs. He is a Marxist, and freely lets it be known.

* Reduce the tax rate on capital gains to 7.5%.

McCain should be drilling in the fact that a large percentage of those that invest in the Stock Market via. many means are not among the "rich".
They are the guys and gals on the street who have investments in our system, and deserve a more fair shake in retaining a bit of their sometimes acquired investment gains.

McCain can talk all he wants about economics but it won’t help.

He needs to bring up Hamas, Castro, Wright and Farrakhan. Elections are won on emotion.

But, he needs to get out there and explain how every part of this will be BETTER at helping families

He should learn the phrase “Let me give you an example”. And give an example that even the simple minded can understand.

For example: Obama says if one earns less than $250K, he will not pay more in taxes. However, if one earns less then $250K and has the same capital gains he had last year, when Obama raises the cap gains tax to 38 or 50%, that person will indeed pay more.

Thanks! Now we know that Saul Alinsky is not some poor lost soul who never found Jesus. He is one who deliberately chose to serve Satan.

I've got to wonder how many of his followers are in the same category.
