Not only do they not know, they don't even care ! My sister in law asked me what I thought of Obama- I told her flat out:" he's a communist. Whatever you think of the ideal, every time it's ever been tried, it has always led to mass killings."
Basically she answered, " so what".
My definition of success is doing something that works. Obama apparently defines 'success' as someone giving you money.
The Socialist One doesn’t need to know jack about anything. He’ll appoint people who do that will carry out the socialist transformation. It will be slow like water drops but the pieces will be put in place over his 8 years in office. The republican party will be relegated to nothing, talk radio will be cut off at the knees by the Fairness doctrine. George Orwell will be vindicated even though he was off by 25 years.
Those of us with half a brain are listening!

You’re correct. BTW I would expect very little between now and 2010, so as not to give the GOP any ammo for the mid terms. After Jan 2011 we’ll start to see the implementation of this program.
Unfortunately, not enough voters care. Kool-aid drinkers are all-in for Obama. There’s no hope for them. The so-called “undecideds” seem to be accepting enough of his radical views they’re willing to roll the dice and give him the nod. Of course, the thinking voters, i.e., conservatives and moderates with brains, are steadfastly against socialism, but we’re in the minority. The public has heard it all - the associations, the background, the policies of Obama, and it appears they still want to take a chance on him. What a damn shame.
If this is all true, about people wanting Socialism (and I have no doubt that many blockheads do), then we are doomed.

We are doomed. Even so-called conservatives are in favor of government trampling of individual liberty. There are many subjects right here on FR that attest to that fact.
Heck, consider that 48%, or so, of the citizenry carry no weight of the Federal burden. Of course they are willing to vote for increasing that burden on the so called rich.
Atlas will shrug and it won’t be pretty, but we do have it coming.

It is true that the rising tide of GDP growth raises all boats, the problem is that the current structure of our workforce has only half the boats IN THE WATER.
Federal, state, and municipal employees are not in the private sector. Social workers and other government bureaucrats, seniors on social security, trial lawyers, teachers and others in education also do not perceive their bread to be buttered by the private sector. Then we have those IN the private sector who PAY NO INCOME TAXES, and who likely see anyone who does as the enemy. These people see the public sector as their benefactor, not the economy. Then there are students who vote, but have not entered the workforce, who listen to commencement speeches exhorting them to "public service", as if the private sector is something to avoid.
Is it any wonder they don't care about the stock market, ignore good economic news, and in general are oblivious to the fact their vote may kill the goose that laid the golden egg? There are many, many public sector employees who will vote conservative, and KNOW where wealth ultimately comes from, but for too many in the above groupings, prosperity through an advancing economy is something that happens to everyone but them, and they will elect Barack Obama on Nov. 5.
Communism kills. The Revolution devours its own children. The Communists with the most power kill anyone they think stands in their way. They kill the innocent. They kill lovers of liberty. They kill their fellow Communists. They kill socialists and other fellow travelers. They kill useful idiots.
When confronted with the fact, it could be that she just didn't know what to say and just issued a flippant reply just to have something coming out of her mouth, completely disregarding the absurdity of her answer. Or it could be because she, like Communists, and in base human nature at its core, will stop at NOTHING to get what she wants, and so the history and the prospect of tens of millions more human corpses doesn't mean much to her.
Who can divine her thoughts and motives? Perhaps she will not care until they come for her.
