Canada may not have exit polling but certainly all the major political parties must be looking at various models based on the turnout they’re seeing in the provinces.
Has anyone heard anything regarding turnout?
Leafy suburbs? Oakville? Oshawa? Both have auto plants and the unions (still) have strong ties to the NDP. Why I don’t understand. People buy cars in a strong economy, and hold onto their old ones in a weak market. We have gone way too far in subsidizing the automobile industry here.
OT sort of. When I listen online to Rush the little screen comes up with the radio thing but with a screen that plays a Layton ad. Is this legal today? And why are there NDP ads on that? Is this another Google meddlesome technique?

The site’s operator has called it for the Libs but the comments seem to indicate the CPC challenger is ahead. In a night where Atlantic Canada (again) is unlikely to be kind, that could be an interesting get.

You’re right. Downtown is where the best handouts are. Crybaby central. Still, you look at TO and it’s crumbling, and then you drive 20 minutes out to Mississauga and it’s flourishing. Low taxes, excellent services (except transit because everyone owns a car), and we’re the only municipality in the black. Say what you will about Mayor Hazel, but that gal runs a city like a business — the way a country should be run.

I cannot believe I have not heard back nully. I have reminded him 5 times. One more call today. I have already voted here and it will be the Conservatives that get in again. However, doesn’t look like a majority government yet but we will have to see. Voter turn out was pretty heavy in my area. CO
