Palin: We can't let 'leftist groups…steal this election' (Since McCain won't, get 'em Palin!)
cnn ^ | 10/13/2008 | Martina Stewart

The McCain campaign is fundraising off embattled community group ACORN.

“The truth is that far-left groups in this country will do anything to help the Obama-Biden Democrats win the White House and maintain their majorities in Congress,” Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin writes in a fund-raising e-mail sent out Monday afternoon. “And last week, we found out they're going even further to win.”

“The left-wing activist group, ACORN, is now under investigation for voter registration fraud in a number of battleground states. . . . We can't allow leftist groups like ACORN to steal this election.”

ACORN called the McCain camp’s suggestion “ridiculous.”

Exactly it would be even better if McCain just took the next few weeks off and let Gov Palin do the rest of the campaigning

I’d be quite happy to stuff the niceness (even in a most uncomfortable place) if it meant that McCain would go for the Big Ears’ throat. Instead, we get Mr. Civility.

Ahh..not what I expected. And happy to see......

As for jumping in your foxhole, well that’s part of the problem, too.

I would lay down my life for you...and that isn't a problem.

An Army hunkered down in foxholes isn’t an army that’s advancing — and we need to be taking ground. Lots of it and fast.

An army hunkered down is an army that is using it's LP's, intelligence, ground troops...to outsmart the enemy. Will OUR army do what needs to be done....remains to be seen.

FRegards

Have you ever studied previous elections and what the winners do and what the winners don't do? The answer to that has to be resounding NO!!!

At best only 35 percent of voters are Republicans. In case you havn't noticed it takes 50 plus percent of the vote to win the election. Where can a candidate get the additional 15 plus percent to make him president? Guess what ... the only possible source of those needed voters are Independents and Democrats.

Independents are not ideological. They sometimes vote for leftists and sometime for right wingers. It has nothing to do with the ideology of a candidate. They vote for the NICE GUY they like. They vote for they candidate they think will do the most for them. Attacking an opponent only turns independents off. It assures that they will vote for the non attacking opponent. What we have this year is Obama attacking McCain and McCain not atttacking back. That is exactly the way to win independents and all the polls show McCain with a big lead among independents.

Starting with IKE winning presidential candidate NEVER ATTACK THEIR OPPONENTS. NEVER!!!! They call for fair play and the treating opponents with kindness and repect. If they can find a way to get their opponent to attack them, they have a surefire winning margin from the independents.

So candidates say nice things about their opponent while surrogates attack the opponent.

Liberal newspapers and magazines always try to convince the right that the Republican candidate is losing because he is not atttacking the Democrat. Then less than bright right wing columnists take up the cry to go into full attack mode. There is no better way to lose an election. The media knows it.. only the right wing conservatives do not.

I spent 35 years in the media and MSM columnists used to write or broadcast stories about the Republican candidates refusing to attack to prove how ignorant and stupid they believed Conservatives really are. They would say the dumb a$$ed conservatives know nothing about winning elections. And will attack their candidate for trying to win the independent votes he must have to win.

Even people like William F Buckley wrote a column in 1980 trashing Reagan for refusing to attack Jimmy Carter. The idiot Buckley was angry that Reagan was not going after all of the Carter failures. Not once in that campaign did Reagan attack Carter for his handling of the Iran Hostage crisis... for his failure to get our hostages released. Not once did Reagan attack Carter for his failed economic polices. Reagan stayed positive as the right wing screamed that dumb a$$ed Reagan is going to lose. But come election day Reagan won with a majority of independent votes. Reagan knew what it took to win. ... even if his conservative supporters did not.

In 2000 Freeper after Freeper attacked George Bush for not attacking Gore. Bush they said was listening to former Democrat Karl Rove who Freeper after Freeper said was certainly trying elect Al Gore. Bush was too stupid, they said to know that Karl Rove was leading him to certain defeat.

In post after post Freepers attacked that STUPID KARL ROVE who they said was really a Democrat implant in the Bush campaign.

McCain is an old pro. He knows what it takes to win. There are a hell of a lot of people on this site, just as there were in 2,000 who know nothing about winning. They are experts at giving losing advice

If the attacks that so please and convince the base were effective with independents then all indpendents would be members of the base.

What I do know is the left wing media thinks conservatives are stupid.. They know they can convince with polls and stories that the Republican candidate is doing everything wrong. This time the Media is trying a much harsher strategy. They just need to discourage the base so they walk away from McCain and therefore elect Obama.

The Media is certain the right wingers are far to dumb to figure it out. I think the media may have it right this time.

If Obama does win the election those of you critical of McCain need to look in the mirror and say.. OBAMA COULD NOT HAVE WON WITH OUT MY HELP!!! I made damn sure that there was no way for McCain to get from 35 percent to 50 plus percent of the vote.

OBAMA AND THE MEDIA THINK RIGHT WINGERS ARE STUPID AND IGNORANT. I am amazed when right wingers always try to prove the media has them pegged exactly right.

********************************
She need more than a 1/2 hour. -:)

I just think she should be on TV. Go to the bottom link from the WaPost and she how “media hot” she is—She should be in ads, like fireside chat settings, and she should get prime time to lay out his economic proposals. She’s a media professional-that’s her training. At this point, many have tuned out both McCain and Obama.

Right now, though, people can’t get enough of her—use her.

Well.......I am pretty much mute.

And feel pretty much trumped also.

And would offer you a spot in my foxhole anytime...anyplace.

The thing is....I would die for those that fight physically and mentally against Marxism/Communism.....because I realize that you and I would die...if we do nothing.

Simple as that....in my mind.

No, that statement is ridiculous. IMO, ACORN = The Dark Side.

Interesting. If McCain fails it will be Sarah who's left standing. And she has already activated her base against the real manipulators of this particular election, the partisan, shameless, and bigoted media. And we'll be coming for them on a full-throttle, four-engine strafing run.

No retreat, not a step back. This one won't be over on 5 November however the election comes out. This one is only starting.

Well, that’s the most aggravating thing about being “me”.

I don’t fear physical conflict, I’m very good with a gun and *if* it were a simple situation of some jerk threatening me or my loved ones, I’d take care of it however I had to and with little pity.

*But*, this election fraud fiasco is *nothing* like that.

It’s not “tangible”, “immediate” or condensed into one person with whom I could “do battle”.
It’s widespread, dispersed and more psychological than physical.
[i.e...not some *thing* you can just hit or shoot]

I’m just one vote in a state that’s a Dem given and everyone near me are already die hard conservatives so there’s not a whole lot I can do as far as “campaigning”.

The town nearby is full of liberals “of color” and although I’m not allowed to carry, thanks to draconian gun laws, they suffer no such legal compunctions and though I have “more heart than brains” [so I’m told..lol] a big heart is no defense against thugs with guns.
[though my dad always said what I lacked in size I more than made up for in “crazy” so maybe I’d do okay for a while]....:-D

It’s an act of great courage here *just* to go into that town with McCain stickers on your vehicle...and I have 3.
[so far so good..no keying, slashed tires or smashed windows...yet]

*My* anxiety over all of this comes from a sense of powerlessness....the lack of a tangible “thing” to fight with or against.

If it were just a simple “real” fight, I’d be fine.

Thanks for the offer of a foxhole spot but I’d be more comfortable in a tree with a Winchester 30.30 and a .22 full of Hornets.....:)

If/when the ~real~ time comes, I don’t intend to “do nothing”.

I was never very good at accepting a yoke.

Sarah is not stupid. She is setting herself up for 2012. And she’s igniting the base in ways McCain can only dream.

The only way to oppose something as large as ACORN is to match the size and intensity and MONEY.

Sadly, it is my understanding that they get most of their money from the Federal Government, i.e., you and me. I don't know how or why that is legal, but somehow lots of liberal groups get government grants.

Wow. Your context or condition sounds almost insufferable. Here in Anchorage I have to put up with too many granola eating greenie moonbats and/or stinky hippies and that pisses me off. LOL.

Hang in there. Pray. Post cogent thoughts on message boards originating in swing states. Pray again. Going to the range is probably pretty therapeutic too. But, then, you know that already.

Good Luck.

We are not the only ones under great stress. I just called a friend in cleveland and she was so relieved that SHE wasn’t alone in being so unbeleivably stressed.

I feel like I have been for the last few eeks on a roller coaster. I am gaining weight from the fast food and cookies!ha. Like in 2004 I will probably gain 14 lbs by Nov 4. ha.

I started chain smoking, I’m so stressed. I can’t believe what is happening in this country. I feel helpless because I’m in Texas, which has McCain up 56-39, and we’re not even in the game.

I remember something of that too, especially in Pres. Bush’s race against Al Gore and until now. I don’t remember too much of Reagan’s race. But I do remember reading about some conservatives giving Pres. Reagan an awful lot of static.

I also remember at least one conservative, Kate O’Beirne (sp?), saying once that she was really down on R.Reagan at times. Then she said she missed him terribly when B.Clinton was in!

i’m back on Nicorette...ha.

the best thing that helped quit and get off even the nicorete is “the easy Way to stop smoking” by Allen Carr...I have the book and audio book and will soon re-read it. No hideous emotional with drawal. I highly recommend it. I may just do the re read this coming weekend.

In the meantime, I gauge my stress level now by “number of wendy’s frosty’s per day.” ha....Have to get vanilla cause doggie can’t have the chocoalte.

My “range” is the one dad made right above my house.

If I went up there now and started letting loose with an AR-15, a bunch of guys in camo carrying compound bows would come out of “nowhere” and shoot me full of arrows.

[I think I’ll just go pound nails into a 2x4 for a few hours, instead]...;-D

I’d bet your stinky hippies saw one too many episodes of Northern Exposure and decided to go “rough it”.
