John McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee plan to spend "upwards of $160 million" in the final weeks of the presidential race, according to a senior McCain adviser.
This will represent a massive counter-attack to combat Barack Obama's lopsided spending advantage to date.
The McCain adviser told FOX News that, while Obama is outspending them in all but two of 14 battleground states, "that will change over the last four weeks."
As national and battleground state polls show McCain trailing Obama consistently, McCain is urging voters not to count him out.
"In case you missed it, this is about the seventh or eighth time that pundits have said 'McCain's campaign is in trouble,'" he told Wisconsin voters Thursday. "We fooled them then and we will fool them again."

Ca is going REDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Sarah Palin is the Q-ship, steaming along like a nice, tempting target. But when the enemy gets too close, she cuts loose with a devastating broadside. At the same time, John McCain is lurking just beneath the surface, watching patiently through his periscope as the enemy concentrates on the tough, resilient Q-ship until everything is lined up perfectly, then he is going to launch a brutal torpedo attack that will send the Barry O and the Joey B to the bottom.
There is no enthusiasm here for Obama. Unlike the past elections there are no signs and the only bumper stickers I’m seeing are NOBAMA. I’m sure it’s different along the coast but this is not like previous elections.
> I think karma is about to swing Barrys way. Bill and Hillary are looking for payback.
“Tonite the Corleone Family settles its accounts...”
It’d be great, but I doubt it. I’m happy if Obama merely has to spend money in safe territory.
sounds good Frantzie - I’m gonna hold you to these predictions
CA going red pretty much dooms Obama. I’m not sure how likely it is, however.
“We fooled them then and we will fool them again.”
He sure fooled me. When they announced they were pulling their resources out of Michigan I thought they were running out of money. So was that all just a ploy? I can’t wait to see how this plays out.
OK... I don't know why, by I was really LOL at this one...
McCain and his camp have consistently said they believe elections are decided in the last 3 days. Looks like we kept our powder dry.
I wish you can see what goes on behind the scene, I can say it because it will jeopardize McCain's campaign.
If you have inside info, feel free to FReepmail me. I’m curious, especially because I can’t see how McCain can win CA. I give him PA without a second thought though.
I don’t think he can keep up and protect his blue states. Washington and Oregon are in jeopardy. McCain has been ahead in New Hampshire, and down 2 in Wisconsin.
We have problems in some of the states like Iowa, Indiana and Minnesota because McCain has opposed government subsidies for ethanol, not because they want Obama. Indiana is a major producer of ethanol, number 5 in the nation, Indiana also number 5 in corn production. Iowa, number one in both corn and ethanol production. Minnesota, number four in ethanol and corn. We will still win Indiana for sure but not by the margin President Bush did.
I’m not worried about Indiana either, Iowa was the one state I kept giving Barry in my maps because of the ethanol. Wisconsin was razor thin last time and I am especially pleased about the FBI raiding ACORN and the concerted effort I see this time to combat fraud BEFORE the election. We usually just cry about it after the election.
I’m on the coast in Calif and there is no way Calif is going Red. Too many green nuts and self-help narcissist/socialists here.
I wish it were better. Even my Father, mother, and sister who are very intelligent people have been brainwashed by cable network news. I argue with them frequently. It’s very upsetting to see the power of the media on these innocent people.
Try the 8 minute youtube video Barack Obama & Raila Odinga, that seems to scare some people straight.
[Aim small, miss small]
Here's praying their strategy works as well as this one did:
"HOLD!...HOLD!...HOLD!...NOW!!!"
We know he’s not wasting any money on a cleaning crew for his stench-filled airplane.
Be sure to have plenty of ammo in your Earthquake "Liberals are going to lose Again" preparedness kits!
Have a good night!
