CNN) — John McCain – who has often praised civil rights icon John Lewis – called a statement by the Georgia congressman Saturday comparing the outbursts at recent Republican rallies to the rhetoric of segregationist George Wallace “a brazen and baseless attack” that is “shocking and beyond the pale.”

Lewis issued his statement after several days of headline-grabbing anger directed at Democratic nominee Barack Obama by some attendees at McCain campaign rallies.

I’m sure McCain was trying to calm down a rowdy bunch before someone said something that the media would pick up and use as a video/soundbite for at least the next two days.

Remember, the media meme that McCain rallies are some sort of Klanbake had already begun. All it would have taken is an Obama plant or some yay-hoo shouting something offensive for the drive-bys to grab it and run with it.

Well, of course it's "beyond the pale," John. Lewis isn't pale.

The claims that Mr Obama is already planning his administration come as a friend of Mr McCain revealed that the Republican candidate is concerned that the ugly rhetoric of the last week will damage his reputation as an honest patriot if he loses on November 4.

No, he was lecturing and chastizing in public, HIS own supporters, who came there to SEE HIM. He is doing it to get back in the good graces of the MSM, for his return to the Senate. See above article from today.

” the politically correct victim mentality dynamic is nothing but a mechanism for controlling speech and influencing political power.”

Correct. That’s the left being polite. Their hallmark is brute force which will come into play broadly if Obama wins.

But if they win, after they think they are in control, the left will be usurped by more powerful marxists who consider the American Left to be useful idiots.

When the false Democrat weighting in the polls is removed, it becomes apparent that McCain is virtually tied with Obama for an office that McCain has been trying to win for years.

Yet you think McCain is preparing himself for a post election lost.

What pathetic BullSh*t!

It’s time to go nuclear on the race issue. You can’t dance around it. You have to say it straight out: Barack Obama has racist friends, has worked for racist organizations, and may well be a racist himself, based on his writings. He was a Muslim for at least the first 8-10 years of his life, and when he finally became a Christian, his pastor and mentor was a virulently racist and anti-Semitic preacher, who also married he and Michelle and baptized their children. His wife admitted to receiving affirmative action, and her college thesis is consumed with racial anger and bitterness. There is no doubt there will be huge “payback” against whites in an Obama administration. You have to TALK about these things.

“This cannot have happened. John McCain said in Lakesville, Minn., that if we stay respectful, then the campaign will be respectful”

Someone had better wake him up ... take off his blinders and snap his suspenders. Tell him to be as respectful as General Patton.

As some suspect, some of these outbursts could be coming from plants. We need to somehow dig up info and see just who they are. Can you imagine if someone could prove these are Obama stooges.

It is obvious to anyone paying attention that the politically correct victim mentality dynamic is nothing but a mechanism for controlling speech and influencing political power.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Agreed. Jonah Goldberg Agrees with you too, in his new book,a well annotated work on history, not polemic, NYT Best Seller:

"Liberal Fascism: The Secret History of AMerica's Left, From Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning"

Politics of Meaning= Political Correctness, among other social instruments, used for the purpose which you have so suitably indicated.

If you have not read Goldberg's book, I have a feeling that you would enjoy it immensely.

From CBS News’ Scott Conroy:

(PHILADELPHIA) As the crowd cheered at a Sarah Palin rally this morning in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, a man in the audience grinned as he held up a stuffed monkey doll with a Barack Obama bumper sticker wrapped across its forehead.

Like Lewis really gives a dump what McCain thinks.

Wake up, people. The Democrats are desperate for a win. Why do you think the liberals are supporting the radical leftist Obama? Because the White House is the political jackpot.
