Grassroots “Kids for Obama Parade” (Organizing)
On Sunday, October 12, Washington State kids and families will parade around Seattle’s Green Lake. “Kids for Obama Parade” will illustrate one of Barack Obama’s core beliefs: Everyone’s voice counts. Join us as Obama’s youngest supporters rally their families and call for change, for a better America. At 2 pm, rain or shine, children and teens will express with words and drawings their hopes for the future of America on “wish flags” that will be mailed to Obama. The first 300 kids will be given a helium balloon, an expression of solidarity. At 3 pm, the “Kids for Obama Parade” will skip, toddle, stroller, rollerblade, pedal, and red-wagon clockwise around Green Lake in a cloud of red, white, and blue balloons and a garland of kid-made wish flags. How to prepare? If possible, bring home-made signs and wear red, white, and/or blue clothing. That goes for moms, dads, big brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandparents too. Please spread the word.

For those of you who have never lived in the area, Green Lake is the equivalent of the Central Park Reservoir, very popular with joggers. The adjoining park also has lots of volleyball courts and play areas. Oh, it is also a popular "cruising" area at night. I hope the Obama Youth get out of there by dusk, otherwise they will become the "Fwank Youth."
Granted all the media hype, the financial mess, the polls; I can’t quite believe that the American people are ready to elect Hussein-O to the highest office. I’m willing to wait and see. There are many people out there(I keep hearing the figure of 30%) who would not vote for this clown “on a bet!”
Pol Pot and his Khmer Rouge child soldiers had a talent for community organizing.
Parents who do not openly support this demonstration will be reported to the authorities by their children. Complaints will be referred to the newly formed Obama Truth Squad Community Services Office for investigation of child abuse for suppression of childrens’ natural political rights......

Obama gets it.......his followers can’t see it. Control the youth and you control the future. Hitler Youth comes to mind here.

There used to be an Asian American gentleman who used to stage one man anti-Democrat protests on Pike Street. There was also an elderly Afro Cuban man who used to scream at traffic about the Seattle City Government being controlled by communists.
Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.
