Gonna say this one more time, then I'm not going to say it again. OH and FL are not going to Obama. McCain's polls show him well up in FL---outside MOE---and I can't tell you how I know, but OH is not going to go Obama. Period. So you can just move those 94 EVs to the other column right now.
I can't speak for CO or VA, but if what I know about OH applies there, the game is already over and prepare for the post-game riots.

Why do they keep showing Florida as any shade of blue?

OH and FL are not going to Obama. You seem pretty confident about that. I hope you are right.

There is a 10 minute YouTube clip of Obama in his own words railing against whites and his perception and what he has been taught of them. What is your insider information on why McCain isn’t running a 2 minute ad? Is it off the table as to ensure that the media respects his respectfulness?
To: bmweezer
There is exactly ZERO chance that Obama is going to take one state in Dixie. ZERO.

As I say, McCain’s own polls are showing him comfortably ahead in FL. A state that wasn’t even close for Bush isn’t going to Obama. On OH, you’ll just have to trust me. There’s a pretty good chance McCain could run ahead of Bush in 2004.

Should have picked a clear conservative in the primaries. Fortunately I’m in a state where my vote won’t count so I won’t have to hold my nose to write a conservative name in.

It’s delusional. Same with NC. Can’t speak to VA, or NV, or CO, but my sense is, it’s as ridiculous there, too.

So you can just move those 94 EVs to the other column right now.How do you get 94 ECV from Ohio and Fla.?
To: LS
If NC, OH and FL are wrong and will go to McCain, Obama still would win 291 - 247, ugh.

1) McCain knows this stuff gets out. Here's an example: about three weeks ago, one of the drive-bys did a piece on the battleground states and visited SE OH. This is mixed race, but predominantly white, lower-class to lower-middle. Lots of former coal jobs, agriculture. Reagan Dems that Obama has to win to win OH. The drive-by interviewed a Dem official who said, "We spend most of our time trying to convince these Dem voters that Obama isn't a Muslim."
2) Evidence #2: Yesterday, Obama was in Chillicothe. They only blocked off one block for the rally. Between 600-,1,200 people, very few (as a long-time political pro observer noted) were from Chillicothe. When Reagan visited in the 1980s, they had to shut down the city. Even Bush vastly outdrew Obama.
So the word is getting out, and McCain doesn't need to use his own money and time to get the word out. People know.
