(CNN) Hockey Moms might be the hot political demographic of the moment, but NASACAR Dads haven't been forgotten.
The McCain campaign is moving Sarah Palin's Monday appearance from the Arthur Ashe Center in downtown Richmond, Virginia capacity 6,000 to a much larger outdoor venue: the Richmond International Raceway, which hosts two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races yearly and can accommodate over 100,000 people.
The campaign doesn't expect to fill all those seats, but McCain's mid-Atlantic regional director Trey Walker said the demand for Palin tickets has nearly quadrupled the capacity of the original event site, the Arthur Ashe Center in downtown Richmond.

That is great. I hope he steps forward to talk. People in this state need to be reminded that the Supreme Court is at stake. Warner has said he would not appoint judges like Scalia and Thomas, two of the strongest 2nd Amendment, Property Rights, Human rights defenders on the Court.
Do they cling to their guns and their Bibles, too? /s
I’m sure the Secret Service will get a kick out of it! :-D
Apparently about 25,000 people have already requested tickets. If these people all invited just 3 friends or family members to accompany them the track would be filled to capacity.
wouldn’t it be great if the already projected 25,000 each brought with them 3 friends or family members to fill the place to capacity.
Can you imagine how much this event must cost to put on? I bet they’re hoping for some serious publicity to get their money’s worth. And I think they’ll get it.
You know what, get 2 or 3 rock bands people would like to open it up, and you could draw at least 75,000.
“Im sure the Secret Service will get a kick out of it! :-D”
No worries, mate. IF I can remember the name of my old high school classmate who was a government accountant who did the Secret Service payroll and stuff... he can vouch for me :)
No worries. I did a fly-by past the White House about 6 months ago and picked up a signed letter from the President, and I’m sure that the aide will remember me enough to deny everything, LOL.

You haven’t seen Richmond Raceway :)
Meaning what? It’s really nice, or it’s a dump? I can’t imagine they scheduled something this big at a dump.

To be honest, I wouldn’t go down in that area at night without some heavy hitters, but I don’t get down there that often.
Nice!
thanks for the heads up...!
“Did anybody read the replies in the CNN article? Democrats actually think Gov. Palin is going to speak at a NASCAR event. They are going to boycott that NASCAR race for letting Sarah Palin speak.”
HAHAHAHAHAHA! OMG HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Thank you for making me laugh today, finally! :)
Frigging idiots.
Gawd, Cindy is hot! That’s such a nice picture of the both of them. Sen. McCain’s joyful face.
Well, fortunately it’s in the early afternoon. :-)

Yes. Just a mile or two down the road from the fairgrounds is an old decrepit (former) shopping center where the gun shows are held. I’ve managed to accumulate at least 5 semi-automatic weapons and a fair amount of ammunition at reasonable prices. Gotta love it...
Dude!
What?
Nuthin.
Just nuthin.
