hotair ^

Drew Griffin had better watch out. If he continues reporting on Barack Obama like this, pretty soon the Obama campaign will target him as an extremist and a hate-monger. Griffin tells Campbell Brown on CNN how ACORN commits voter fraud, and then explains how Obama is closely tied to the group:

Trying to explain anything other than a pbj sandwich to Campbrown is useless.

She never wants to be confused with the facts.

Barack Obama's Involvement with ACORN Unearthed, Missing Article Recovered--Barack Obama's connection with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has not gone entirely unreported, it has not been fully explained. Most media background pieces simply note Obama's involvement in a 1995 lawsuit on behalf of ACORN. Obama's own website, as well as most major media, fail to reveal the full depth and extent of his relationship with the organization.

"Attempts to hide evidence of Obama's involvement with ACORN have included wiping the web clean of potentially damaging articles that had appeared, and were previously publicly accessible. Unfortunately, those behind the attempted cover-up failed to realize that in today's day and age, nothing disappears forever. There also exists another layer of the web, the hidden web, which is full of information included in proprietary scholarly databases where these very same "missing" articles can be easily uncovered.

"Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar (the name of the Republican governor at the time) and we won. Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Moseley Braun to win the Senate that year. Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).

"Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office. Thus it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for STate Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends."

How can they say they’re non-partisan and then come out in support of Obama?

The registration forms have the word Acorn handwritten at the top. Right now, it seems like the word Acorn is tipping the officials off to set those forms aside.
What if Acorn starts having people enter a different org. so their forms aren’t automatically separated out??

So ACORN has conceded that the CRA is to blame for 25% of this economic crisis.”

Betcha it is the other way ‘round.

“When you look at all the bad subprime loans that were made in the last 5 years, 3 out of 4 of them were made by institutions that were not governed by the CRA, so there is no way you can blame the CRA on 75% of the subprime loans that were made in the last 5 years.” [ACORN spokesperson on CNN Lou Dobbs] “

Someone please explain to me what “institutions” that lend money CRA is controlling?
I understand the pressure from the threat of lawsuits, but is this person saying that CRA controls banks and S&L’s?????

To be honest, I though Brown was fair in that piece...she followed up the report by asking wasn’t it true that Obama had in fact been tied to ACORN in the past...I was pleasantly surprised...

Voter fraud has always been a Democrat tactic. They have used it repeatedly in every election.

The depth of it still is yet to be exposed. In my state the dead collect paychecks, vote, are used to manipulate polling numbers, they are campaign bundlers and hold paper front businesses.

I’m sure my state is not unique.

If the Republicans hadn’t complained about the military votes being tossed out in FL 8 years ago, ACORN wouldn’t have had to commit the fraud. It’s our fault.

Beck slamming nobama and McCain again ditto
Beck showed another CNN reporter doing an expose’ on the Ayer’s connection to nobraina.

Is CNN moving to the “dark side” (actually reporting the news)?

Even if 75% of the loans may have been made by organizations not governed by the CRA (a point I don't concede at this time), it would still be germane to know the relationship of ACORN in its pushing the CRA to such lenders. We also need to know all the activities and influence of ACORN in their promoting the CRA (e.g., Dodd through Countrywide), and ACORN's use of tax-payer money to advise low income mortgagees in their dealings with Fannie/Freddie.

What percentage of people being advised by ACORN or who had contacts with ACORN ended up going south on their Fannie/Freddie loans?

Calm down! The money is set aside, but a congress critter is demanding that ACORN and the DOZENS of similar groups NOT get any money.

He was on Fox yesterday, and he was hot about it.
