A Pennsylvania pro-family group has joined a nationwide boycott of a major greeting card company as a result of its promotion of the homosexual lifestyle. The American Family Association of Pennsylvania has joined forces with several other pro-family groups around the country to boycott Hallmark over the company's new line of "same-sex couple" cards.
AFA-Pennsylvania's President Diane Gramley said, "More Hallmark customers believe homosexuality is wrong and believe in one man one woman marriage than believe in same-sex marriage. To claim public demand was the reason behind the same-sex commitment cards is a cop-out . . . Hallmark has chosen not to remain neutral in the culture wars and is willing to turn its back on the majority of its customers."
The group's website states, "No matter what kind of reaction Hallmark has to a boycott, Christians are called to take moral stands and to confront immorality in the culture whenever possible."
The text of the Boycott Hallmark petition reads as follows:
To: Hallmark Cards CEO Donald J. HallIn Isaiah 5:20, God warns against exchanging good for evil by saying, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" (NKJV)
In Mark 10:6-8, Gods design for marriage is expressed clearly by Jesus Christ, when He declares, "But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh; so then they are no longer two, but one flesh." (NKJV)
I urge you to withdraw any and all products sold by your company that celebrate, condone or otherwise encourage homosexual conduct and/or relationships. Unless and until you do, you have my pledge that I will refrain from doing business with your company.
Many Pennsylvanians who signed the petition to boycott Hallmark over its pro-homosexual cards added their own comments to the statement above. Here is a sampling of those comments:
The boycott against Hallmark's "same-sex couple" cards is being orchestrated by Family Policy Network, which hosts an online petition for AFA of Pennsylvania and several other pro-family organizations who are a part of this campaign.
You can join the boycott against Hallmark's pro-homosexual cards, too, by signing Family Policy Network's SECURE, online petition. When you do, your name, city and state will be compiled with many others from all over the United States who are opposed Hallmark's pro-homosexual cards. The list will be forwarded to Hallmark Chairman Donald J. Hall along with the verses above and an admonition to stop endorsing homosexual immorality.

Thank you for your support. Let's pray together for Hallmark to do the right thing and pull these cards from their shelves.

it worked for mcdonalds
Is Hallmark the card manufacturers tied in with Hallmark the TV channel?
yes
They can't be stupid enough to figure that the queer business they gain by this offsets the normal business they would lose.
So, why do it?
I never knew that. What a pity, Hallmark tries to make very good programs
The irony is that many Hallmark-franchised gift stores are Christian themed. I complained 10 years ago at our Readings & Greetings store when they displayed a skateboarding magazine called Big Brother that targeted 14-year-olds with extreme language and articles about sex and homosexuality. Now I don’t see any Readings & Greetings stores around.
A boycott is an exercise of free speech.
ping
Exactly the point I tried to make a few days ago, when a Michigan group joined the boycott. There are a certain number of freepers, however, who believe that the need for acceptance and tolerance of homosexuality trumps our right to free speech.
Interesting times we live in.
So which free speech do you support?
Hallmark's free speech to support deviant lifestyles or the free speech of those who actively voice their opposition to Hallmark?
BTW why the hell is everyone always "offended" these days? In the old days people were only "offended" when someone personally attacked THEM.
Are you gay?
LOL NO i’m not gay and yes, i signed the petition.
Just thought I'd give you something to be righteously offended about. :-)
I’m not personally “offended”, let me put it this way. It’s Hallmark’s right to introduce and promote a line of cards targeted towards homosexuals and validating their lifestyle, it’s my right to not support and validate that lifestyle by not buying their cards. It’s their right to decide which is more profitable for them, or putting aside economics (does any company ever do that?), to decide they will continue to sell the cards for PC reasons. I am free to make my decision and they are free to make theirs.
Yes they do. Consider McDonalds and Disneyland's long time support of Planned Parenthood. These companies are dependent upon a growing generation of children to keep their companies afloat, and yet they give massive financial support for birth control and abortion (not to mention gay relationships which produce no biological children). With their support America has aborted 50 million potential customers for these companies, and yet they continue with supporting the mass genocide of our posterity.
Well if it Obama wins it will all be moot soon anyway, free markets and capitalism will be a thing of the past when he’s through.
they do ti as their board etc are very liberal with liberal agenda’s
this is a clear example of pushing this onto the normal majority
they believe that if we see it and hear it all the time we will just give up and accept it
