Why is everyone so afraid to blame Congress?

The fact is this was all started by Congress, the Reinvestment act and the fact that congress promised to change Mark to Market and then DIDN'T

We need to kill the capital gaines tax for a year or so, but NO....democrats refuse to do it

Bawrny Frank and his lackies at Fanny and freddy allowed this to happen and until SOMEONE in the democrat congress GOES TO JAIL it will continue.

I am not refusing to blame Congress. I blame them loud and often.

Today in Wisconsin, McCain blamed the congressional democrats in general and specifically Barney Frank, Chris Dodd by name for the financial crisis.

Why is everyone so afraid to blame Congress?

Because the VAST majority of those Congresspeople involved in this debacle are Democrats.

Assuming that the Dept of Justice in the Bush administration will put someone in jail is on the same probability level as the sun not coming up tomorrow morning! Worse yet, the oversight for Barney Frank's crimes will be investigated by Barney Frank's committee!!!

Term limits are long overdue......

I’m not afraid to blame Congress.

“I blame Congress.”

See, that was easy.

I have a question, though. I did not read the article. So, what am I blaming them for this time?

It was so disappointing to hear Sarah, when she had the chance, seem to blame it on a “greedy Wall Street”.

One could wonder if the team of campaign advisors had been infiltrated.

Does it matter? If they didn’t actually cause it, then they’ll be blamed for not doing so, but chances are that they DID do something...

The McCain camp need to create an ad featuring Pelosi/Reid/Obama and warning the country of the danger of having both the White House and Congress controlled by the Democrats.

A few people did know the story behind the big melt down, so I assume that the MSM was aware of the Freddy problem long before the market started to tank. I hate to say this but everything that I have read on that subject points the finger at Democrats in congress. So why don't the investigators follow the money. I can't think of anything that please the public more at this time than seeing a few congress critters in handcuffs, going to the poky.

I’m sitting here at work right now and just heard something that made my blood absolutely boil. A couple of the left wing mental defectives that I work with were just talking about how President Bush is giving away all this bailout money, and that the democrats wanted to just use that money and give it directly to individual taxpayers to pay off their debt instead of giving it to the banks but that the Republicans wouldn’t allow it. Then, to top it off, they said that the democrats never wanted a bailout in the first place but that the republicans forced them to go along with it.

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I was this disgusted with other people that I know. I am appalled that people like this are actually allowed to vote when they haven’t got the first clue about what they are talking about.
