UNBELIEVABLE.
Another damned RomneyBOT or pseudoRepublican sabotaging Gov. Palin.

"The most impressive thing about Mitt Romney is his clarity of mind.
When he set out to pursue his party’s nomination, he studied the
contours of the Republican coalition and molded himself to its forms."

Molded itself to its form?

Why, I can smile, and murder whiles I smile,
And cry ‘Content’ to that which grieves my heart,
And wet my cheeks with artificial tears,
And frame my face to all occasions.
I can add colors to the chameleon,
Change shapes with Proteus for advantages,
And set the murderous Machiavelli to school.
Can I do this, and cannot get a crown?
Tut, were it farther off, I'll pluck it down.

While Brooks may admire Romney's "clarity of mind" (and who doesn't?), he is no friend of Mitt Romney. In fact, Brooks even slammed Mitt's highly praised Faith in America speech for not being inconclusive enough of the non-religious and atheists!

I guess the Romney haters, always so anxious to spin things without being fully informed, missed all of these David Brooks quotes on Romney:

New York Times columnist David Brooks is supposed to be the house conservative of PBS’s NewsHour and convention coverage, but he dripped contempt for conservatives from Mitt Romney to Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday’s night live coverage. He decried Romney’s speech as extreme "He drifted so far right, I’m sort of, my mind is boggling."

If any Republican candidate is going to win this year, he will have to offer a new brand of Republicanism. But Romney has tied himself to the old brand. He is unresponsive to the middle-class anxiety that Huckabee is tapping into. He has forsaken the trans-partisan candor that McCain represents.

Seems Brooks prefers pro-populist Huckabee and trans-partisan McCain.

FYI, David Brooks wasn't a Romney supporter. Did you not bother to read past the first paragraph of the article to which you linked?
