Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread - Wednesday 10/08/08
The EIB Network ^ | October 8, 2008 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 10/08/2008 8:15:25 AM PDT by TSchmereL

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--that's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--that's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

We love to hear Rush Limbaugh,
Excellence in Broadcasting.
From sea to shining sea,
Millions and millions listen.
Conservative voice of freedom,
Heard throughout all America.
A message pure and truthful,
The downhearted are encouraged.
Integrity and honesty his motto.
We love you, Rush.
Listen to Rush Limbaugh.
G-d Bless you, Rush Limbaugh.

Expect cold and snowy winter in East: forecaster Wed Oct 8, 2008 10:35am EDT

HOUSTON (Reuters) - The winter of 2008-09 will be the coldest and snowiest in years in the eastern United States, threatening homeowners with back-breaking heating bills, private forecaster AccuWeather predicted on Wednesday.

“Given this economic environment, the winter will push some homeowners to the brink,” AccuWeather long-range forecaster Joe Bastardi said, noting the credit crisis and high fuel prices.

"Has anyone heard how “An American Carol” did at the box office this weekend?"

Here is the weekend's Top Ten at the Box Office, according to Fandango:

1 Beverly Hills Chihuahua $29.3M

2 Eagle Eye $17.7M

3 Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist $11.3M

4 Nights in Rodanthe $7.3M

5 Appaloosa $5.0M

6 Lakeview Terrace $4.5M

7 Burn After Reading $4.1M

8 Fireproof $3.9M

9 An American Carol $3.6M

10 Religulous $3.4M

At least it beat out Bill Maher's POS movie!

I’m well, thanks. ooh, cat scan for your sinuses? I hope that goes well, and that there’s some simple solution. Sinus pain is so unpleasant.

Attaboy, voting for Sarah. I know three people, Republicans, who aren’t voting because they don’t like McCain (and one, a liberal Republican, thinks Sarah is too conservative). I’ve gently suggested to both that we can’t afford to have Obama elected, no matter how bad McCain is, but I can’t really push the issue since I was close to not voting for him either until he picked Sarah as his running mate.

Let me know how your test results come out, will you?

I keep telling everybody we're going to have a severe winter, and nobody believes me. Don't doubt the Farmer's Almanac!

Hope my new pool gets through the winter okay!

I am SHOCKED at how many. I was talking to a neighbor yesterday who is behind me 150% pertaining to my fiscal conservativness on the Board of our community. I watch what we spend and make noise about it when I think its wrong and this woman always backed me up and cheered me on. She was mad and appalled that we will have to have a special assessment. Then politics came up and she said she was so looking forward to ‘change’.... I was dumbfounded...conversation over.

What needs to be shown is how many theatres each movie was playing.

I’m waiting for the fleets of liberal lawyers who will descend around Nov 1 on all of the states where the vote might be close, preparing to file lawsuits if the vote doesn’t go as the Dems wish.

Did you see this?

McCaskill's edge I mentioned a few days ago that Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill's mild affect masks a bit of a killer, and that she's perhaps the Obama campaign's deftest surrogate on the attack.

But I was still kind of amused by her brief interaction with Mitt Romney in the press file just now.

McCaskill was stepping out of her chair at the end of an MSNBC interview, and Romney was up next. She and a staffer unplugged her various wires, and she handed Romney the earpiece the guests use to hear the host.

"I spit on this before I put it in," she said to Romney, with a sweet smile.

UPDATE: Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom emails: "You should have seen what she did to the chair."

Thanks again Rush. I can’t stand Luntz and the bunch of bumpkins he turns up with during the debates.

Rush is right. If you’re undecided 3 weeks out, you’re an idiot.... or leaning Democrat.

Thank goodness I’m not the only one. I have to change channels when Luntz shows up with his focus groups - they make me cringe in embarrassment.
