Reagan was able to cleave and attract a lot of these voters. Since then, the effete, elite, snob, financial and corporate sucking RNC has, as it does to conservatives, libertarians, small businessmen, home schoolers, 2nd Amendment activist......snubbed them.

Even this bailout, could of handcuffed Dodd/Frank to Fuld, Syron, Mudd, Goldman Sacks, and killed the FDR welfare state. It theory. In practice the GOP, by and large is too dumb with any notion of political ideas and too cowardly to act, and to unskilled in media to communicate through the MSM if it did find a pair and acted.

He's 51-years-old and he's never voted for a Republican.

Tell him it's OK to vote for John McCain.....after all, he's really a Democrat.

New evidence of Bradley/Wilder Effect:

Last night on Fox, Frank Luntz said his group of “undecideds” thought McCain won on the economy. This vote was taken off-camera.

When Brit Hume asked for a show of hands ON-CAMERA, only about 1/4 raised their hands and they did so slowly.

My guess is that the the folks that thought McCain had the edge did not want to identify themselves publicly for fear of harassment in the community and workplace.

But, in a secret ballot, I think I know how they will vote.

I agree that only the very small minded would vote based on race. What does that say about the 95% of blacks who will vote for Obama.

I do not support racism, but hey, we have got to keep Obama out of the White House!

Politics makes strange bed fellows.

My son lives in a small town in New York. He says the guys he works with at a steel mill all say there is absolutely no way they will vote for "The One". They are voting for McCain enthusiastically since Palin.

An even bigger shocker is one of my uncles here in Texas who is a yellow dog Democrat. 72 years old and never voted Republican, but he likes McCain.

I dont think he sounded like a troll at all.
This plumber has voted for whom the union told him to all his life. Now he is afraid of expressing himself?
I never met a yankee union worker who didnt speak his mind,
especially at union meetings.

I think you’re right. The dems have been openly, blatantly, and proudly the party of treason for AT LEAST 50 FRICKING YEARS!!!!!!!!!!! All of a sudden this union bum has a problem with it. BS! He’s not voting for BO because BO is black. But that’s fine with me. BO is mega-filth, and I don’t care what reason people come up with to not vote for him.

Why would a die hard dem have a problem voting for a trojan muzzie? Die hard dems hate the US with all their heart, and therefore love Muzzie terrorists.

I have an aquaintenance with whom I worked very closely for three years. He is a third generation Rat. He is a sitting judge. The gossip in our group has it that he has gone on record as being unable to support Obama.

His age is roughly 60 +

When they say “The Northeast” they mean Northeast Philadelphia.

Here's a good example of why the unions want to end the “secret ballot” currently used by their members.

Rank and file union members can't be forced to vote for an empty suit like 0bama.

Yet.

>"the MSM/Dem Machine does it out loud and daily with phony polls all the time. ">

How dare you question the integrity of the ENEMEDIA! The same ENEMEDIA that spent all that money faxing fraudulent forged federal documents from a Kinkos in Abilene.

Good point ~ and one I negleted to note. Of the 95% of blacks that will vote for BO, I’d guess 20 to 25% are race based, 65% would never consider getting off the Dem plantation and the rest simply buy into his theory that we should take stuff from people who rightfully earned it using the taxing arm of the government.

I'm in PA, and I was in the UAW for a few years. Myself and a few others vocally complained about some of our dues being contributed to the rats. We also took every opportunity to put the rank in file's "values" to the test..."So you're a democrat eh?
Q: So you're for gay marriage right? A: Er, well, no but...
Q: And you definately are pro-abortion right? A: No, I never said that...
Q: And affimative action should be used over seniority right? I mean if it's ok for some jobs it should be ok for union jobs too right? A: No, that's not right...."

On and on it would go until I convinced them that they were really closet Republicans.
I'm not in the union any more, but still talk to union members daily, and most don't like mr. zero even a little, and are voting McCain-Palin.

My mom was a Philly trade union Dem. I am well acquainted with the brand.

In defense of these folks I will say that, regardless of political affiliation, a fair portion of their kids are represented in the military off in Iraq and Afgahnistan. They do have some patriotic stripes.

I keep them in my prayers and hope that the kids return safely as hawkish conservatives.

Good for you. I’ve noticed the same trends in WV.

I hope that in addition to not liking Mr. Zero that they do not like being held up as “bitter/clingers” to the elites of San Fran.

I have a buddy from the burgh who said he wasn’t going to vote this year and I made him promise me that he’d vote for the guy that supports our troops.
