I believe Mcain missed the softball question at the end.
What is it you don’t know and what will you do to find out. Mcain should have said, What I don’t know is;
He should have ended the debate like that, Barry would not have been able to respond because his time was up.
Please feel free to add what other things Mcain does not know, about "Barry" by the way, I am a staunch supporter of Mcain/Palin working at the local GOP headquarters making phone calls, and such.

That is exactly what I thought as soon as the question was asked. It would have scandalized the MSM, and it would have been the topic of conversation for days. Everyone would have heard of Ayers et al by then.
He missed a lot of softballs. What happened to the whole McCain will come out swinging thing we’d heard about? He wasn’t throwing many punches at all. He came in needing a good performance to reverse negative momentum and he passed out opportunity after opportunity to attack Obama.
That might have salvaged what was otherwise a big waste of time.

How depressing. I was fired up hoping that McCain would go for the jugular. he debated like he was in the lead and didn’t want to make any mistakes. His campaign lacks any real theme and he is seemingly unwilling to attack. I pray that I’m wrong, but I think BO moved a step closer to the oval office. God help us.

He should have responded, “What I don’t know is how Obama plans to defend our country against a real threat by sitting down with our enemies for a fireside chat with a cup of hot cocoa...with thoughts of trying to bolster Americas image in the eyes of the world” (cause we know how important it is for Obama to be a kiss @$$) Excuse my French!
