I don’t generally post often, I’ve got a lot to learn-no comments from the peanut gallery :D Good to meet you too, and you’ll see me here a good bit when things are popping, and opinion is acceptable, rather than informed discussion-that’s when I lurk and read. Good night to you too :)

but bomb exploded prematurely and killed 3 weathermen instead

Isn't it funny how a bit of good news can brighten up even a bad day?

The downside to that story is that Ayers and the other 267 draft dodging criminals were NOT killed. But I guess I can't expect to have every late night bedtime story end the way I want it to.

OMG. Are you f’n kidding me? YOU ARE RIGHT!!! He wasn’t the Fed Chair. Do you think that either Greenspan or Bernake will be asked about this, and if so, do you think they would respond?

Who was most likeable? Obama 65 McCain 28

Simply incredible, what else is there to say?

How could anyone find that pompous, preening, self-centered, sneering, smirking ass the least bit likable even compared to a Nazi storm trooper, much less compared to a seemingly decent and almost courtly guy like McCain?

Wasn’t it the dems who started the whole crap about the war being for oil only?

Now they are demanding oil revenues be turned over the to US for the war.

Their hypocrisy is amazing, the publics ability to swallow it hook, line and sinker makes me absolutely sick.

he touches my shoulder patronizing like that and I’d knock his skinny ass out

I had the exact same reaction when I saw that picture.

Only it wouldn't be metaphorical.

"Don't touch me, " shake shoulders, fiery darts coming out of my eyes.

That's a narcissistic tactic of Obama's, not respecting others' boundaries.

You’ve got it...

Worse yet, my wife turned on CBS’ late news a few minutes ago and they were whining about “80% of the American people now feel “stressed” about the economy.” Now, look, if you’ve just been laid off, or something like that, that is understandable. (I am, that’s why I understand, I guess! I have had a few sleepless nights myself, but, mostly I’m ok and just keep plugging away.) But, 80%??!!

My wife is from the Philippines, and I’ve been there a few times: If you want to go live somewhere where there is REALLY good reason to be “stressed” about the economy, that, like most of the world, is one of those places. My wife just laughed...

BTW, I sure do wish McCain would make the case that the war is about MUCH more than Osama / Al Queda. The idea that we can knock off Osama and maybe some of his buddies, and our job is done, is just so naive that I can’t believe McCain doesn’t smack Obama around on it.

“I think the letter BO actually sent was in favor of sub prime and shows he supported the problem we face now. I could be mistaken.”

Is that letter public record, and if so, does anyone have access to a copy???

Another question: Does anyone have figures on what Federal Revenues were in 2000, and what they were in 2007, adjusted for inflation and population growth? Similar data for Reagan’s tenure would also be useful. (You can see where I am heading with this, I think!)

By having the response of the audience visible it creates a false impression. Which is the reason for the instant response.

The media is disgusting yet no one calls them out on it.

Heard last week too that the veep debate people played a dirty trick on Palin and had her lapel microphone turned on way before the debate in hopes of catching her out. Biden’s mic was not turned on early.
