Worse yet, my wife turned on CBS’ late news a few minutes ago and they were whining about “80% of the American people now feel “stressed” about the economy.” Now, look, if you’ve just been laid off, or something like that, that is understandable. (I am, that’s why I understand, I guess! I have had a few sleepless nights myself, but, mostly I’m ok and just keep plugging away.) But, 80%??!!
My wife is from the Philippines, and I’ve been there a few times: If you want to go live somewhere where there is REALLY good reason to be “stressed” about the economy, that, like most of the world, is one of those places. My wife just laughed...
BTW, I sure do wish McCain would make the case that the war is about MUCH more than Osama / Al Queda. The idea that we can knock off Osama and maybe some of his buddies, and our job is done, is just so naive that I can’t believe McCain doesn’t smack Obama around on it.
