PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

Hard to believe that virtually every poll is somehow slanted against McCain.

No not every poll, but MOST polls... Need I remind you of these acronyms ABC, NBS, CBS, CNN....

I have no idea what is reality in this race. I'd almost just as soon just vote on 11/4 and go to sleep until 11/5 and see who won. This looked really good until Lehman Brothers started the tank-a-thon.

I tire of platitudes. I want details, not "I have a plan". To quote Ziske: "Yeah, Custer had a plan too..."

CNN stream that usually has the response bars during the debate

FNC (http://www.foxnews.com) and I'm assuming CNN (http://www.cnn.com) will be running lives streams of the debate. FNC usually has 3 streams running, including the Strategy Room.

Dear John, Here’s What You Need to Do At Tonight’s Debate

By Andrea Tantaros
Republican Political Commentator/Foxnews.com contributor

Tonight Senator McCain needs to address the financial crisis and the economy head on while he toots his own horn on being right in 2005 on Freddie and Fannie. He needs to debunk this highly propagated Democratic urban legend that deregulation is bad and call for proper regulation and responsibility going forward.

Channeling Reagan is essential: offer a clear, inspiration vision, then draw contrasts with whatever and whoever disagrees.

The Mac needs to shoot holes through the misleading proposals of Barack Obama and explain why his Santa Claus-like list of promises to the American people is a bunch of baloney.

Keep Reading … (if you really care to see what Blimpo Beckel thinks) ~~~

The spot on SNL bailout smackdown video that's now been scrubbed from their website .. cause suspected to be pressure from the libs and the Sandlers (who destroyed Wachovia and its shareholders and walked away with billions.) It's priceless.

I think McCain made a strategic error when he voted for the bailout....voting the other way would, at a minimum, have distinguished him from 0bama, and the way things have gone since passage, could have said “I told you so” and “I voted in the interest of American taxpayers, while my opponent voted for special interests.” That would have been a winner.

Axelrod looks like a guy who peeps up women’s dresses.

Then again he could be one of those perverts who like to look at pics of nude women with Sarah Palin's head photoshopped in.

This is the BEST anti-Obama bumper sticker I have seen so far!

I especially love how it counters the sticker liberals had on their car about Bush saying “Somewhere in Texas a village is missing it’s idiot”.
