ACORN Vegas Office Raided in Voter Fraud Investigation

Nevada state authorities seized records and computers Tuesday from the Las Vegas office of an organization that tries to get low-income people registered to vote, after fielding complaints of voter fraud.

Bob Walsh, spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state's office, told FOXNews.com the raid was prompted by ongoing complaints about "erroneous" registration information being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, also called ACORN.

The group was submitting the information through a voter sign-up drive known as Project Vote.

"Some of them used nonexistent names, some of them used false addresses and some of them were duplicates of previously filed applications," Walsh said, describing the complaints, which largely came from the registrar in Clark County, Nev. He said some registrations used the names of Dallas Cowboys football players.

Walsh said agents from both the secretary of state's office and Nevada attorney general's office conducted the raid, and "took a bunch of stuff."

ACORN spokesman Charles Jackson confirmed the group's Nevada office was raided.

It's not the first time ACORN's been under investigation for irregularities in registration records.

In 2006, ACORN committed what Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed called the "worse case of election fraud" in the state's history.

The Libs always cry out that ACORN itself hasn’t been indicted for Voter Fraud or fraudulent registrations. But their individual employees & volunteers have, and plenty of them. Four ACORN registrants were indicted in Ohio during the 2004 campaign, and five were indicted in the Washington State Gubernatorial fisaco in 2006, and in that Washington case ACORN settled for $25,000 to cover investigative costs of the prosecution with the “understanding that they could face criminal charges if they were to be indicted for something like this again” LOL. The more exposure theyget like this ought to make the Obama campaign EXTREMELY nervous.

Uh oh. When Harry Reid hears about that raid, we’re in for another of his stirring orations from the Senate floor (or the bar up the street).

This ACORN needs to be shut down. Why can’t FBI go after them under RICO?
Only good thing is they are past masters at getting paid for all these fake registrations by lefty foundations. ACORN is sort of the “african culture” way, FAKE and STEAL.

ACORN settled the largest case of voter fraud in Washington state history

How do you "settle" a case of voter fraud? It is the voters who are injured, not the government. The only possible "settlement" is a consent decree disbanding the organization and agreeing to a suspended sentence, for 5 years conditioned upon never again engaging in voter registration or get out the vote activities.

McCain should constantly connect Obama to ACORN and Ayers the way Obama always ties McCain and Bush together.

Project Vote’ Brings Power to the People
Chicago Sun-Times - August 11, 1992
Author: Vernon Jarrett

Good news! Good news!

Project Vote, a collectivity of 10 church-based community organizations dedicated to black voter registration, is off and running.

Project Vote is increasing its rolls at a 7,000-per-week clip. Just last Saturday it registered 2,000 during the Chicago Defender’s annual Bud Billiken Parade.

But now, the not-so-good news:

If Project Vote is to reach its goal of registering 150,000 out of an estimated 400,000 unregistered blacks statewide, “it must average 10,000 rather than 7,000 every week,” says Barack Obama , the program’s executive director.

The word should go out via the MSM that anyone found to have voted based on fraudulent ACORN information will be arrested and charged with vote fraud, for which a maximum penalty could be 25 years for the first offense, with a minimum penalty of five years. Multiple occurrences should get the maximum sentence. (Even better would be if this were all true. Nonetheless, such word should go out to minimize vote fraud damage.)

There is no one in the world more directly responsible for ACORN's fraudulence-ridden Project VOTE initiative than BHMO!

"Exactly WHAT does this group have to DO to be forced to disband?"

- Arrest and Jail offenders
- Cut off all public tax dollars from ACORN
- Refuse to accept ALL submissions until they can be VERIFIED in advance of an election as VALID.

None of this will happen -- because LEFTISTS now have sufficient control of the Legislatures and the Courts.....

This is the perfect opportunity. Obama can try to dodge the ACORN connection because it is not on most people’s radar. It does not compute.
This can.

Project Vote = Project Vote

Obama was executive director

He wanted to up the registrations to 10,000 per week. HOW?

I hope someone shows the connection Obama has to PROJECT VOTE (ACORN sponsored)

I was going to make a comparison with the feds going after Michael Vick, but I didn’t want to have to spend the rest of the evening trying to convince people I love dogs and in no way am I defending dog fighting (nor would I ever).

The sentence for election fraud should be swift death. The federal trial should go as quickly as that of McVeigh with execution quickly following conviction.
