John McCain is collapsing in the polls in Florida and other swing states, but Sarah Palin, God bless her, has a solution.
"For me, the heels are on, the gloves are off," she announced at high noon Monday to a group of Republican donors at the Naples Beach Club....
Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."...

“Sit down, boy.”
What? I’m surprised he wasn’t referred to as Sambo. (as long as they’re making this stuff up.)
That would be such an up to date term of opprobrium.
Actually, Sarah is the woman that Dana Milbank has always wanted to be.

AAAAAAWWWWWWWWW attacks on the media are nasty!
Pity party at the bar down the street. Drown your sorrows and yourselves too for all I care.
I thought so too but he's not a girl. But him a dress though and...guilty.

Well McCain Camp should have been ready for this one after Hillary’s “iron my shirt” tactic.
As for Gov. Palin, hey she’s just “getting in their face”.
And it’s not so much taking off the gloves...she’s just wiped off the lipstick...bless her pit bull heart.

Dana’s a dude.
I don’t have to read the article, I just love he title. Sounds like Dana has a little respect, or he doesn’t realize how much of a compliment that is....
"Fabulous!"
"Do not forsake us , oh my darlin'"
Dana Milbank was notorious for his anti-Bush fanaticism already in 2001, which even the rest of the mainstream media people thought was over the top. Of course he’s a regular guest on Olbermann’s show.
However, Palin isn't being too tough on Obama at all. There's this sense that the news media doesn't want its pet candidate vetted too harshly, and that this is what he is truly upset about.
Best,
Chris
I know that!
Most of these guys want to be Judy Garland or Liza Minelli...I think Dana wants to be Sarah...:-)

Amen. The MSM is getting nervous because what is happening at virtually every rally Sarah attends does not match what their push polls are trying to convince people of.
Is there any wonder people rebel against their actions? Is it wrong to rebel against this type of behavior? What other way does Mrs. Milbank suggest the very people the MSM seek to deliberately injure do?
“Worse, Palin’s routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000.”
Dana Milbank, it is a testament to the decency and restraint of conservatives that you lying, scheming, distorting, in the tank for leftists reporters aren’t dragged off and hung up by your heels. You have tossed aside whatever personal and professional integrity you might ever have pretended to have and turned reporting on politics in America into one big exercise of who can lie the most about things that hurt “your” cause, and who can ignore the most truths about things that help the conservative cause.
The MSM is zero integrity scum, and you should be thankful people don’t treat you like what actually are.
Could have been a Dim plant also ....
Only the loyal conservatives get thundersticks.
“Remember we meet at dawn”.
Yep, the Marxist Onada is definitely trying to stoke the race card. My son married a South Carolina girl and my brother-in-law lives in Florida. Southerners tend to address all males as “boy”—as in “How ya doin’ boyah.” This is right up there with the pubbie politician who used the word “niggardly” a few years back. He was talking about a budget. But the MSM and some ignorent Blacks made it out to be a racial slur.
I’m still optimistic about McCain winning. I don’t really believe the polls showing him behind by 5 or 6 points. I think it’s close in some places the Marxist Onada should be winning handily, but McCain may even be ahead in at least one or two of those states. There is no way it is close in Florida. But media manufactured poll results make it appear so. This sets the dems up to go to court again.
