Racism, naturally, plays a part in the conversation. "I've never forgotten that he is a smart, articulate black man with a smart, articulate black wife," says Linda Wright, 34, a nurse's assistant from Houston."You think white people were just going to turn over the keys to the most important job in the land without a fight?" The overriding feeling is apprehension, a vague fear of losing something people thought was theirs to keep. "My kids love Obama and they think it's so obvious he should be the president," says actor D. L. Hughley. "I was just honest in saying life isn't always fair and certainly isn't always fair for African-Americans. But Obama has overcome so many obstacles, it's easy to forget reality."
There's not a lot of angeryetbut you can start to sense the potential for it. "I'm going to be mad, real mad, if he doesn't win," says Daetwon Fisher, 21, a construction worker from Long Beach, Calif. "Because for him to come this far and lose will be just shady and a slap in black people's faces. I know there is already talk about protests and stuff if he loses, and I'm down for that."

I agree, however the GOP better tell their checker pants country club members to tell their Wall Street types to get their act together and stop doing the GOP favors by causing one financial crisis and scandal after another and outsourcing US jobs. Take care of the blue collar Reagan Dems and they will take care of you.
Jindal is a man of color. He got elected in a deep South state (i.e Cajun hill billies, lily white, David Duke country). If whites definitely hate people of color, LA would be the place to illustrate that. Guess what, Jindal (color man) won!!!!!! Kills that theory.
Cleveland here! What part of TN is Kingsport? I’m in the south part of the state, east of Chattanooga.
What If Obama Loses?
We celebrate!!!!!! And America signs with relief and Americas enemies continue planning to hate us for another four years since we didn’t decide to do it ourselves.
And Socialism enters our country, silently but steadily.
...which is almost like saying “the ends justify the means”.....
I don’t consider him incompetent, but I do see him as a puppet.
And yes, you’re right - it’s the “generation” that is seeing him all warm and cuddly -like. I’m so glad I grew out of that. I have some friends that didn’t.
If he loses, I’ll be so happy I won’t care what anyone calls me.
Except they were McCAIN's positions--the reporter merely told the voters "Obama is for the surge and staying in Iraq until the job is done" and "Obama is against abortion" or whatever. And the "informed voters" agreed with "Obama" on every position.
Then we dodge a big bullet but must keep working to restore out liberties and our strength.
If we don't, there are plenty more socialists waiting in the wings who'd like to come to power. And Barry won't go away, either.
The uppermost corner, around 100 miles north of Knoxville. :)
Yes, and he’s “overcome so many obstacles.” Um, what obstacles would those BE, anyway????????????
The way I see it, Obambi has skated right through life in no small part due to affirmative action programs — I’ve heard of him suffering no hard knocks beyond not having his biological father present in his life.
Good job Howard! Nice to know he did something important on his show.
He can always go back to chopping cotton and picking water melons. Get rid of him and who cares what he does..
RE: “Anyone who would vote for Obama just because hes black is racist... and I cant find anything else that would make him qualify for Americas first black president besides his race.”
You forgot — he’s so “articulate, and clean.” Thanks to Joe Biden for that last charming quote.............. /s
Nope! In Los Angeles those Koreans and other merchants, too, are quite adept at arming themselves!
RE: “Geraldine Ferraro was correct:
THE ONLY REASON B.O. IS ON THE BALLOT IS HIS RACE!”
She must be a racist!!!!!
Bingo.
RE: “Its amazing how much hate there is among blacks for whites”
Yep — when I was young and innocent, I thought we should all get along. Went out of my way to be nice to the few blacks I came in contact with though at that time none of them worked with me nor lived near me.
Later, the hard reality set in. They hate us — no good reason for it, and it’s not personal, they just hate us, en masse, in general. Friends my age (late 50’s) have also experienced this obvious problem over time.
There are tons of examples I could give but this is not the forum...
Love it! Will see that my former-Marine step-son sees this!
