With Barack Obama pulling ahead in the polls, it seems a lot of us on the right are concerned about the validity of the message we are seeing. I am still of the opinion something is wrong with the polls and have shown why record crowd levels at Palin events, record viewership of the Biden-Palin debate (this is due to Biden???) and record RNC donation levels all paint a very different picture than a runaway race for Obama-Biden.
I did find one VERY interesting set of data on polls and the electorate which confirms my suspicion. But first I want to send a “shout out” to DJ Drummon and his correct statement about today’s less than professional polls:

Although the headline would/will be:
“McCain Steals Election from First Black President. Cities Burn. Marshall Law Declared.”
Except that there wasn't rioting in the streets by Dewey supporters. If the claimed Obama leads are just inflated poll numbers and wishful MSM thinking on the part of the media, then an unexpected McCain victory will lead to bloodshed.

Never fear...... ‘Ace’ McCain is sliding the stick forward on the after burners as we converse. He’ll leave Obama in his wash as he goes after the Independents and crossovers with his strategic plans to bring them into the fold.
In 2000 just before the vote, I fought my way through an ENORMOUS crowd in suburban PA, shouting, wild adulation of George W Bush and Colin Powell. Very exciting. Bush lost Pennsylvania.
McCain spent too long treating Barack Obama as a nice young man and now it may be too late to start telling people what Obama really is about. That plus changing demographics and the shallowness of “swing voters”.

Who is this “Marshall Law” person I read about so frequently on FR? And just what is he declaring?

People know who this Obama is...and I just don’t believe these polls, there is a concerted effort by the media to get Obama elected....and I will continue to stay motivated for Sarah Palin....God Bless her!

I’d like to see someone do an analysis of Obama’s polling during the primaries and his actual performance. I know that Hillary won in NH, yet Obama had a 9-13% advantage in the polls. Obama was up by an average of over 8 in the polls, yet Hillary won by about 4%. Obama obviously overpolled (Rasmussen had him up 10, so with Hillary winning by 4, that means he was about 14 percentage points off.) Did that happen in other states were Obama’s poll numbers over Clinton consistent with the actual results...that’s what I’d like to see. If they weren’t we’re in big trouble because the polls are setting up a Obama will walk away with this election scenario, and if he doesn’t win, well if we thought 2000 was chaos...
