Family is about more than politics. These days it seems that politics is at the core of family and everything else that make or breaks life.

I bet this guy still somehow manages to cast a vote this election.

Luckily they, being very cool people, don't assault me with any nonsense. When we do get on the subject, they don't really have any points to make, they just follow their feelings and preconceived notions. I try to return the favor by not belaboring political arguments, but I do try to lay it out in a thoughtful way, relying on reason to hopefully sway them eventually.
I just feel sad to see the Dems deceptive race pandering work on smart people that I care about. It's depressing.

The link works for me, however the posting of old news doesn't, but to each his own.
Check Michelle Malkin’s archives from June of 2005. The story revolves around a guy supposedly committing suicide because of the Evil Bush Regime. I'm moving on from BDS. We now have to deal with PDS. :)

A B.H.O. presidency would mean I'm (and everyone except the dead beats) reminded every April 15th that this country voted for the wrong guy.
If the middle class wants change, well they'll too get stuck with higher tax bills to pay for things they really don't want to be paying for... folks that are too lazy to seize a piece of the American dream, making something of themselves.
Socialism/Marxisim is NOT cool.

(Betcha they're good. Why shouldn't they be? Their one mistake was giving up me!)

They are hard to reason with. Fortunately, this extremely weird election cycle has brought my lib relatives to their senses, and I thought I’d never see the day!

It has already been shown. If the left wins they still will not be happy. As they distroy the country, they won’t understand what went wrong.

yeah so what is his name? I don't know. Ask the OP. It's October 6, 2008 in my world. I have no desire to delve into the archives. Please don't take this as being too snarky. I'm done with this undead thread.

My brother is a liberal who cannot unplug. He seems to be an unhappy man, and everyone who knows him knows he cant give it a rest.
Yours, too? Mine and his wife and 21 yr old daughter.
Liberals do not laugh at themselves and do not find much humor in life, generally. The ANGER and HATE in their voices, is just unwarranted and unbelievable. The only people they are hurting are themselves. Rancor will destroy.
That's why I like "Joe Six-Pack" types. Fun, laughter, enjoying life as it comes not dwelling on "4-more years of Bush" and blaming Bush for every conceivable ill in the Country . . . and world.
And that's why Sarah Palin is so loved. She is able to laugh at herself while she's poking fun at Obama and Biden. And Obama takes huge offense at what she has to say. Because Obama can't laugh at himself and his antics, he is a very very sad representative of a very sad and mad culture of negativism and gloom.
It's after 9 AM, so I can pop a top and enjoy my six-pack. LOL

Yeah and Obama is going to make a great CIC and his foreign policy will be masterful And him having control of the IRS will make Clinton's auditing of conservative organizations look like child's play
And nothing like having the power of the Patriot act at your command
You have to ask yourself which would be better: A McCain Presidency with a Democratic House and Senate, or an Obama Presidency with a Republican House and Senate.
Obama would be so disasterous that a Repubican Congress would be inevitible, just as Slick Willie and Cankles brought us the gift in 1994. Maybe this time we can keep it.

Dude,
First, stop posting on FR, the Obama Squad are tracking your IP address and will haul you away. Second, withdraw all of your money as soon as possible and convert it to gold. Third, buy all the ammo and MREs you can carry, and hightail it to the hills. If you hunker down and wait out the Dark Days ahead, you can be one of the first to emerge and rebuild our nation.
Go ahead, save yourself, I’ve got your back.

"Fortunately, this extremely weird election cycle has brought my lib relatives to their senses, and I thought Id never see the day"I'm seeing the same thing - glimmers of daylight - at long last. I spoke with a retired teacher this afternoon who I was convinced was a die-hard lib. It turns out she was raised Republican, has gone back and forth over the years, and is now on the fence. I gently nudged her and talked to her a bit about what economics and the Fannie/Freddie/Dodd/Obama/Frank connection. I'll spend time with her on the weekend on a women's retreat. Perhaps I can nudge her gently a little further.

You want Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid slashing our military’s budgets and giving it to ACORN? Great way to say thanks for what they have done for us the last 7 years.
