Tomorrow’s debate will be crucial. I don’t know why McCain didn’t bring up Franklin Raines last time, but I really hope McCain’s 100% on his game tomorrow night.

God help us if he’s not! And we have to overcome the media too.

Barry's experience in fiscal responsibility was with community organizer scams such as the “Garden to Nowhere” on the City's southside. $100,000 disappeared into minority businesses with no garden built. Replicate this scenario a few times, and that is Barry's history of his stewardship with OPM (other people's money).

I agree, but over 50% want free everything, so fiscal responsibility is their code so not giving freebies.

We should go back to homeownership as a requirement for voting.

Because the last GOP president did so well.

McCain needs to drop all pretense and lambaste Bush on his domestic record, namely the out of control domestic spending. Since Obama’s plan includes much of that, I think he can hit two birds at once.

I think we make things too complicated. Bush has what, a 20% approval rating? Congress’ approval rating is at 10%. Both are falling steadily, if not accelerating with the drops in the equity markets.

McCain needs to blast Bush and the Democrat Congress. He’s the one who tried to get something done on Fannie/Freddie. The Dems blocked his efforts. Obama showed up and began sucking up the cash from those GSEs. Either Obama is naive or he’s criminal.

At this point, there’s nothing to lose. McCain needs to hit this head on and leave the questioning of ‘the true Obama’ to his running mate.

We are demanding McCain to do the right thing. To bring this stuff out. We all know he was handed to us as our candidate. I find his behavior appalling. To me he has a big character issue. He’s way to willing to be friendly with the other side under the guise of bipartisanship. It’s creepy. I am pretty sure he doesn’t like the foreign enemy; but it’s looney lefties in the US that he very comfortable with. I think he perceives this as the road to globalization and is ignoring some of the real implications of America losing it’s freedom. Now tell me how one can be fiscally responsible, protect his country when one is constantly trying to compromise everything that is dear to America by associating with the very ones that are trying to bring her down. It just doesn’t compute. McCain needs to understand that America deserves if only by her very existence needs to continue in freedom.

I fully expect some “Keating 5” nonsense to come out of NObama’s piehole almost immediately. I am so tired of this issue. It’s the only thing parroted by NObama supporters these days. What was the outcome, really,of this isue? Wasn’t McCain found not guilty? Educate me,please,so I can hammer some of these idiots that keep screeching this garbage.

Fiscal Responsibility for McCain should have started with him voting against the Pork laden, earmark-rich, socialist Bail-Out Bill.

Too bad he chose NOT to do the right thing on this issue.

WHAT will stop Obama now? McCain is being blamed for something he tried to stop. What a sad day.

something the WSJ and heritage and many from national review supported and a lot of other people including Tom Coburn. They all let us down. The difference is that we never expected mccain to be conservative.

He needs to jump all over the point Sarah made in the debate that spiked off the charts with undecideds... never again and learn from these mistakes.

Sorry, but McCain voted for rhe Marxist Takeover od rhe nations morrgage and financal system not ro mention AIG.

So McStupid has not a leg to stand on.

And sadly I don’t think Sarah can save his Socialist butt.

And now we will all watch stocks crash as investors flee from the United Socialist States of America to more capital friendly markets.

Congress just killed the gouse that lays the golden eggs.

Thanks...I was just reading an old FR thread from Jan of this year dealing with an article from NRO and Mark Levin. Not very flattering towards McCain. That whole deal was pretty unsavory.
Still,in all, whatever McCain did,or didn’t do,at that time is nothing compared to NObama’s ongoing debauchery. At least McCain did come out and say it was a mistake and he was indeed influenced by contributions. That’s more than you will ever,EVER get from NObama the ACORN man.

In all honesty, I’m only voting for McCain because obama is worse and because I like Palin. McCain himself, sucks.

After voting for the disastrous bailout bill, I doubt he can be credible in claiming fiscal responsibility.
