Nebraska becomes Unlikely Battleground (Media demoralizing GOP base alert)

OMAHA, Oct. 5 -- With a month to go before Election Day, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the Republican vice presidential nominee, touched down here Sunday for an unexpected rally in a state that President Bush won by 22 percentage points in 2004. Barack Obama's campaign sent 15 paid staffers to Nebraska, a state that has backed a Democrat for president just once since 1936. Despite Nebraska's consistent preference for a Republican in the Oval Office, Obama and the national mood are forcing Sen. Say, since Sarah Palin was in California this weekend, drew a huge crowd, and apparently got the endorsement of the President of L.A. chapter of NOW, when will the Drive By Media gives us this headline:

California Becomes Unlikely Battleground For Election

?

The good news about all of this is that, if McCain wins, the media will be beside themselves and will have an immense amount of crow to eat.

If McCain wins, the media will declare the election stolen, there will be riots in the cities, and the Democrats will pledge to cooperate LESS with McCain than they did with Bush.

Good analysis. The MSM and the pollsters are setting America up for internecine warfare. The pollsters better be right about the dem/pubbie/independent mix because if they’re wrong and McCain wins there will be consequences across America.

When McCain wins Sarah will clean the Democrats in Washington and slap the blame where it belongs. That is why they don't want her... She is a true American. The Media hates that America loves her.. No matter what happens I say we quit buying papers and hitting their web sites and tune them off the TV.... We can fight the Media by putting them out of business..

what spin....

Mac "pulls" out of Michigan and its because he's losing there, Sarah visits Texas, and its because Mac is "losing" there....and then she does a pit stop while crossing the country and that she is stopping there because Mac is "losing".....

so I guess every 20,000 person rally means that no one is voting for McPalin ?....

hussien better watch his own backyard....

McPalin are winning...that is why the drivebys are trying drive us down...

I’ve noticed the same theme with the trolls...several were on several threads asking “why is she visiting there...its a waste...Mac must be behind in that safe state or why is he/she wasting time going to that long shot state”....an on and on and on.....

If Nebraska goes Dem I'll vote for a Democrat next election.

I don't think they're worried about the whole state going for Obama. But Nebraska, like Maine, partitions some of it's electoral votes among the winners in its congressional districts. The article is pointing out that Obama could possibly pick up one of the state's votes by winning the congressional district Omaha is in.

nice to solidify the one electoral vote the Dem’s could have a shot at there AND to get some free cross border publicity in Iowa, a state they haven’t yet given up on.
