I just got an email from my sister telling me that Nobama is ready to unlease a video tomorrow that slaps McCain's integrity with the Keating 5 scandal. They already have the site up. I wonder if they realize that the people who actually ran the scam were all Democrats.

Excellent, if this is all they have, McCain was exonerated by the Democratically controlled Senate, Alan Cranston and John Glen took it on the chin as I recall.
Both McCain and John Glenn were totally exonerated, as I recall.

I believe that Keating’s conviction was overturned on appeal so who cares!
I wouldn’t use this in a general population debate because it goes against the conventional wisdom, but Charles Keating didn’t do a whole lot wrong either. He made a really stupid mistake but he was not a crook.

If my memory serves me correctly, Sen. McCain was exonerated. I could be wrong, it’s been a long time.
McCain and the Republicans are going to regret not fighting harder (or at all, really) to put the blame for this mortgage crisis where it belongs — on the Democrats. Instead they’ve let it become established that it was greedy Wall Street and Republican laissez-faire. Now Obama will have the benefit of this false context as he starts hammering McCain’s association with Keating.
