1Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD.
2Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.
3If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.
6My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.
7Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.
8And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
Father, for eight years we have prayed for President Bush & for eight years, we have witnessed Your grace in so many situations. I have no doubt with the level of hatred he has faced, that Your protecting hand has been with him. And so, I pray for Your protection to carry on still. Not only physically, not only in terms of safety for himself and his family, but spiritually and emotionally as well - please protect our President and give him wisdom and courage to do what is right. I'm not sure what all this bailout urgency was really about, but if there is something we aren't seeing, I pray that You would let it come to a good end. If it is as it appears on the surface, may safeguards for the people be set up to limit government intervention in their lives. I pray for issues of foreign policy, that the President's aims in Afghanistan and Iraq- towards freedom - would be achieved. I pray for our relationship with Israel. Protect her and that relationship lest we step over a line we shouldn't.
I pray for Senator McCain and Governor Palin as they campaign. Let all darts that are flung at them bounce harmlessly to the ground. Thank You for being with Sarah during the debates. Now, as they stand boldly for truth let the American people hear and wake up.
Go with us, Father. Work in us and through us for Your glory. For it is in the blessed name of Christ Jesus my Lord that I pray these things. Amen.

I join in prayer for President Bush, the Administration, McCain, Palin and our heroes standing in harm’s way!
Praying and agreeing with you all.
Pray Psalm 27 for Sarah as per her request
I join in your prayer!
Oh Lord, we ask your forgiveness and for your mercy, for we know that you never leave us or forsake us, but we do know that we have left you, as a nation so many times. We would like to be like a bright city sitting on a hill,an example to a dying world, but we are not. Grant us the ability to do thy will and to see things more as you see them, and not in our own way. Lead us on, Oh, King Eternal, so that we may dwell with thee one day. Amen
For centuries, the hieroglyphic word pictures painted on Egyptian ruins were a mystery. Then in 1799 a French archaeological expedition at the Egyptian harbor of Rosetta discovered an ancient stone. It weighed 1,676 pounds and reflected beautiful dark gray, blue, and pink hues. But that is not what made it valuable.
The stone was inscribed with an identical message in different ancient scripts. Among them were hieroglyphics and classical Greek. Using Greek to translate, scholars soon understood the meaning of the hieroglyphics. They were no longer a mystery.
The Bible has also contained an ancient mystery. For centuries, it seemed as if Gods purposes were limited to the Jews. Yet with the appearance of Jesus of Nazareth, the promise to Abraham to bless the whole world came to light (Gen. 12:1-3). Paul wrote: The mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known . . . has now been revealed by the Spirit (Eph. 3:4-5). God provides salvation to all people who repent and believe in His Son (Gal. 3:8-9,28).
The revelation of the New Testament describes a glorious future when people from every ethnic group, nation, and language will share in the inheritance of the children of God (Rev. 5:9).
Amen to your prayer, Blogger.
...and prayers for our troops. Amen.
Standing with all your prayers regarding President Bush and Senator McCain and Governor Palin! Amen! I would like to add: Father, I pray for Senator McCain in the debate Tuesday night, that you would prepare him, giving him wisdom, clarity of mind and articulate speech. Give him the words to say. I pray also that his choices and policies would be based on Your will for our nation. Further, I ask that he would be rested and ready to answer any question aimed his way. Father, please place a hedge of protection around John McCain that the fiery darts of evil would fail to prevail. I pray that Your presence would be known in an obvious way! Praise the Lord! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
