Bitter holding on to their guns and religion, and possibly high regards of the good old USA.

I live near that area, and there are NO large signs for 0bama as there were for Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 04. By looking around one would think that the only democrats running this year are Warner and our congressman Boucher. The only 0bama signs that I’ve seen are the small yard signs, and they are few and far in between.

Okay, so now it seems if you are not going to vote for Obama, you are a poor, racist yokel who just needs to be enlightened. What a load.

Not 1 in 5 dems here are going to vote for Obama, but he’s winning VA by 10. I call BS.

LAT: Either you vote for Obama or you’re a racist.

I think this argument is going to backfire somewhat, and not necessarily in Appalachia. It may be difficult for the average lefty to figure out, but many middle class, professional, educated Caucasian suburbanites are sick and tired of hearing about how white racism is holding back the progress of “minorities.”

As anyone with half a brain knows (apparently many libs have less), if members of a racial minority cannot succeed in a professional environment today, it’s due first and foremost to their efforts. Individuals are judged now on their performance, not their race. How does that not extend to the presidency of the United States?

Caucasians have to be careful not to say or do anything that could be considered in the least bit way to offend a member of a “minority” group.

My guess is that there are many whites who pretend to be interested in and/or support Obama simply because of this. In some workplaces and ‘circle of friends’, supporting McCain is seen as a tacit self-revelation of being a racist.

Of course, it all gets back to what you believe when you enter the voting booth.

And yet the pollsters tell us the Obamanation is winning in a walk. I’ve the feeling that after the election results come in next month, pollsters and the media are...oh, who the hell am I kidding? They’re not going to learn a damned thing.

I went to a festival yesterday in Charlottesville, Va(extremely leftist area) and there were few BO signs. We go to this festival every year and in 2000 there were loads of Gore signs and in ‘04 loads of Kerry signs. McCain signs beat BO by 2-1. Good news, I think.

This article made me believe that I might be a “poor black child born in Mississippi.”

I am bitterly clinging to my guns and religion. And I see this type or article as incredibly destructive.

Whatever the intent, articles like this will make a confirm in the minds of many that a Republican victory is invalid. It's exactly what Gore, The Dims, and the MSM did in 2000.

In the connection it's interesting how the use of "swiftboating" as a pejorative is based on the supposition that the charges of the swiftboaters were shown to be false. As far as I know, that has not been proved, but there are a lot of dims out there who are absolutely sure that we won in 2004 because we lied successfully.

Thinking this kind of thing gives them a way to avoid thinking about the reality of the political complexion of the country, stokes their anger and resentment, and to some degree weakens the ability to govern of whoever wins.

I read that while there was good evidence that the Dim machine in Chicago cheated wildly in 1960, Nixon decided not to contest the election on the grounds that casting such doubts as wuld inevitably arise from doing so would have a bad effect on the nation. So tricky Dick cared more about the US than Al Gore or, now, the Dims in general.

Keep in mind that this effort in Va. is failing in the face of intense one on one campaigning. The “bitter clingers” aint buying the Black marxist with the Muslim name.

This is EXACTLY why Fauxbama is losing this election folks, the battleground is the rust belt, I dont’ care what the polls are saying, Fauxbama is going to lose PA, and likely 1 or 2 more of the previous D rust belt states.

More liberal propaganda to get the Dem rank and file in line. It is racist not to vote for Obama. VA is a key battlegroiund state.

Which even makes the polls that show Obama winning that state even more suspect. Thanks LA Slimes for accidently stepping into the truth about the Drive By Media polls.

Lets’ have some frank talk about Obama and Odinga.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8QcpdUtxNQ

How about Obama openly campaigning for his communist cousin Odinga who signed a pact with Muslims to enact Sharia Law if elected and started riots when he lost. Obama campaigned for an openly Anti-American candidate in a foreign country in 2006 at taxpayer expense.
