ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Legal Newsline)-The Alaska Supreme Court has decided to hear an appeal that would block the release of findings of an abuse of power investigation that could prove damaging to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

The state high court will review a decision by Anchorage Superior Judge Peter Michalski, who Thursday dismissed a request by a group of Republican legislators to block the investigation.

Thank God we have some Palin supporters on that court. Overturn it and block this investigation. We cannot afford to have this go further. Regardless of whether she f’d with this guy or not, we need to keep this under wraps (at least until after the election)

As I understand it, this is only to block the witch hunt by the RAT legislators. The investigation from the proper state authorities (initiated by Sarah herself) continues.

Frankly , it’s old news that nobody cares about.
So what. Palin got her scum bag brother in law fired who
tasered his step son and threatened to kill her dad and sister in law.

And everybody has heard the story already so let them release whatever they want. Nobody will care but libs who won’t vote for McCain & Palin anyway ...

He didn’t get fired. His boss did for in-subordination and the spin machine cranked up.

Regardless of whether she f’d with this guy or not,

Whoa there hoss. The only reason I can see for the Alaska court to block the investigation is because it has no merit. I'm all over the Alaska court putting a prompt end to political games.

However, if as you put it, she did f' with this guy, then that needs to be made known. If we start sweeping dirt under the rug, we're no different than the Democrats.

What dirt are you talking about. Perhaps you should get back to DailyKos where you would be more comfortable.

Keep up man. I clearly stated (first in fact) that I was all over the court putting a prompt end to any political games.

As for the dirt, I was addressing Gerardkempf who suggested that it didn’t matter if (in his words) she f’d with him or not. It was that statement, not any implication, real or imagined that I was addressing.

Durling this appeal to the State Supreme Court, will there be an injunction until the case is decided?

—or—

Will the investigating report be made public before the state supreme court makes its ruling?

And what about the state employee review board? What about that investigation? Will that be done before the legislature?

And just how “complete” will the legislature’s report be? Will it really be fair and unbiased (considering what we know).

Well tomorrow the Alaska Legislature meets to decide if Brachflower’s report sees the light of day. I’m praying this report is tepid and they can keep this within Alaska. My fear is that if it comes out she was heavily involved and they vote to censure her (especially at a time when we’re pushing the Obama character argument) then I’m wondering if Obama is going to try to use this against Sarah and John
